System of release of the fulfilled gases

In these drawings systems of release of the fulfilled gases of front-wheel models Audi 80 are shown.


The 4-cylinder engine capacity of 66 kw:

1 – a forward exhaust pipe;
2 – the catalyst;
3 – the basic muffler;
4 – the additional muffler.

The 4-cylinder engine capacity of 85 kw:

5 – a forward exhaust pipe;
6 – the catalyst;
3 – the basic muffler;
4 – the additional muffler.

The 5-cylinder engine capacity of 133 kw:

7 – a forward exhaust pipe;
8 – the catalyst;
9 – the basic muffler;
10 – the additional muffler.

The 6-cylinder engine capacity of 110/128 kw:

11 – forward exhaust pipes with catalysts for both numbers of cylinders;
12 – the basic muffler;
13 – the additional muffler.

Depending on the established engine car Audi 80 is supplied by the system of release of the fulfilled gases designed completely in own way. Besides, there are basic distinctions between systems of release of the fulfilled gases of front-wheel and all-wheel drive models.

Components of system of release of the fulfilled gases

Front-wheel models

  • The final collector is attached to the block of cylinders.
  • It followed by a forward exhaust pipe which is executed at the engine by capacity of the unary of 66 kw.
    The 4-cylinder engine capacity of 85 kw and the 5-cylinder engine are supplied by the double pipe passing in an unary pipe.
    Absolutely in another way the exhaust system at the 6-cylinder engine is arranged: two forward exhaust pipes from which everyone is supplied by the catalyst.
  • Katalitichesky neutralizer with a short piece of a pipe is a following instance in system of release of the fulfilled gases at 4 and 5-cylinder engines. At the 6-cylinder engine again all in another way: here short pieces of a pipe are located.
  • Further away middle (basic) and additional mufflers are established. The basic muffler of 5 and 6-cylinder models at which two mufflers stand as though the friend opposite to the friend on the right and to the left of a longitudinal axis of the car is swept especially up.
  • On an example of the additional muffler the hierarchy of models is shown: at 6-cylinder model a tip double.

All-wheel drive models (quattro)

To каталитического neutralizer of system of release of the fulfilled gases of front-wheel and all-wheel drive models are identical. Distinctions then begin:

  • At the 6-cylinder engine intermediate вильчатая the pipe reduces both pipes (leaving with каталитических neutralizers) in one.
  • Here the basic and additional mufflers who at original final system are rigidly connected among themselves by means of a passing piece of a pipe are connected. At repair it is possible to establish both mufflers and separately.
  • These components are identical to all models. The double basic muffler of front-wheel models in all-wheel drive models is replaced by the volume unary muffler. The additional muffler is supplied by a double tip.
