Transmission and transmission

The transmission co-ordinates speed of rotation of the engine and driving wheels thanks to various transfer numbers. Thus the driver influences speed of movement, possibility of acceleration and ability of the car to overcome liftings. Depending on the established transmission the driver can choose most suitable of five transfers or give switching to an automatic transmission.

Mechanical transmission (КП)

The twisting moment from the engine through coupling arrives on a primary shaft of a transmission. On this primary or приводном to a shaft it is located six cogwheels (including a reverse gear) which are in constant gearing with six gear wheels on secondary to a shaft. These gear wheels can freely rotate, until then while one of them at inclusion of certain transfer will not incorporate to a corresponding gear wheel on primary to a shaft. The parity of number of teeths of the corresponding pair gear wheels forms necessary transfer number. Problems with a gear change

If transfers join with great difficulty or after a long trip switching becomes heavy the reason of these malfunctions, most likely, is coupling, instead of a transmission (the list of malfunctions in the head Coupling see). The regulation of the mechanism of switching described more low serves only to to result the switching lever in a correct position and by that to optimise a switching course.

Gear change adjustment

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To establish the gear change lever in neutral position.
  2. To turn off a spherical head.
  3. To raise by means of a knife a small plate in front of the lever of a lay brake and to weaken the top screw being under it with crosswise шлицем. Now it is possible to remove a casing of the lever of a gear change.
  4. Under the car a few to weaken шестигранный a bolt on the bottom end the gear change lever that it was possible to turn the lever and a rod of a plug of a gear change under the relation to each other.
  5. To establish the gear change lever vertically and to expose it so that both ledges of the spherical hinge were on identical distance from the bearing case as it is shown on an illustration at the left below.
  6. Cautiously to tighten the screw under the car, not to change the adjusted position.

  8. The gear change handle should be in idling position at level of the third-fourth transfer.
  9. To switch all transfers. To watch thus function of blocking of inclusion of a reverse gear.
  10. In case of need to weaken screws of the case of the hinge and slightly to turn it.
