On cars Audi 100 apply two kinds of system of ignition: contactless transistor system on cars without a turbo-supercharging and electronic system on cars with a turbo-supercharging.
The transistor system consists of the distributor of ignition, the coil of ignition, the block of management of ignition, candles and wires high and a low voltage.
The gauge of impulses of the distributor of ignition works by a principle of effect of the Hall.
The ignition system has two electric chains: high and a low voltage.
The high-voltage chain consists of a high-voltage winding of the coil of ignition, a cover of the distributor with a contact piece of coal, бегунка the distributor, spark plugs and high-voltage wires, a low-voltage chain – from the lock of ignition, a primary winding of the coil of ignition and the block of impulses of the distributor developing signals for the block of management. The block of impulses, or the Hall gauge, consists of a winding, a constant magnet and a microcircuit forming signals. The management block is located in a compartment of the engine and represents the electronic switchboard which, receiving signals of the block of impulses, operates a current in a primary winding of the coil of ignition.
The ignition distributor has centrifugal and vacuum regulators for updating of a corner of an advancing of ignition depending on frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine and loading.
Electronic ignition includes the ignition coil, рапределитель, the block of management, a spark plug, gauges, wires high and a low voltage.
The gauge of impulses of the distributor also works by a principle of effect of the Hall. The electronic block of management receives the information from various gauges about engine loading, frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft etc. Also calculates the most effective corner of an advancing of ignition. Besides, the block constantly supervises work of all system and warns the driver about serious malfunctions of system in case of their occurrence by means of a control lamp.
