12.2.2.1. Check of the coil of ignition

THE GENERAL DATA

Elements of electronic system of ignition

1 – the gauge of frequency of rotation cranked Shaft; 2 – the gauge of a corner of an advancing of ignition; 3 – the detonation gauge; 4 – the ignition distributor; 5 – a thermoswitch; 6 – the idling stabilizer; 7 – the switch of a mode of idling; 8 – the switch of full opening Throttle заслонки;

Check of resistance of a secondary winding of the coil of ignition of the first type

1 – the ignition coil; 2 – the plug «1»; 3 – the high-voltage plug; 4 – the plug «15»

The coil of ignition established on the car, can be two types.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. To disconnect high-voltage and low-voltage wires from the ignition coil. 2. To connect an ohmmeter and to measure resistance of a secondary winding. It should be for the coil of first type 6,8 a clod, for the coil of the second type – 7,7 clod. 3. To connect an ohmmeter to plugs 2 and 4 or 2 and 3 and to measure resistance of a primary winding. It should be 0,5–1,5 Ohm for both types of coils. 4. If resistance of secondary and primary windings differs from specified, it is necessary to replace the coil.
