Check of a free wheeling of the lever of a lay brake

  1. Action of a lay brake should begin with the third lock groove of the lever.
  2. At the fixed fourth tooth back wheels should be blocked.
  3. On models with disk brake mechanisms on back wheels the free wheeling directly depends on functioning of the automatic adjusting device.
  4. In general: if the course of the lever is longer usual, it specifies on worn out brake Pads on back wheels or the extended cables of a brake drive. This certificate of that the lay brake was strongly tightened at each parking.
  5. Adjustment of a lay brake usually happens is necessary only after replacement of a cable of a brake drive or колодок disk brake mechanisms of back wheels.

Replacement of a cable of a brake drive

  1. To raise the car behind and to fix.
  2. To remove the car from a lay brake.
  3. To weaken an adjusting nut on коромысле until a cable it is not becomes appreciable sagged.
  4. To remove a brake drum, to remove brake Pads and to take out the back end of a cable from the lever of inclusion of system of a lay drive.
  5. If on your car on back wheels there are disk brake mechanisms, it is necessary to hook spring скобу on the end of a cover of a cable and to take out a tip of a cable of a brake drive from the drive lever.
  6. To hang out and remove a cable of a drive from various крепежей on a back axis and on the car bottom.

  8. Навешивание a cable of a lay brake on приводном the lever of the drum-type brake mechanism can be connected with problems. Regulation of system of a lay brake

  5. To lift the lever of a lay brake on two lock grooves (two clicks).
  6. To tighten an adjusting nut so strongly that both wheels could be turned a hand with great difficulty.
  7. To remove the car from a lay brake and to check up a free wheeling of wheels.
  8. Models with back disk brake mechanisms: to spend adjustment.
  9. To tighten an adjusting nut so strongly that both drivers the lever of a lay brake at supports of brake mechanisms on the right and at the left have slightly risen from an emphasis. The assistant should check it.
  10. Now to weaken an adjusting nut on two turns.
  11. For the control to press the lever of inclusion of system of a lay brake to supports of brake mechanisms on the right and at the left by turns to corresponding emphasis. If the lever of a support of other wheel as moves, means, cables of a brake drive are tense too strongly.
  12. In this case to weaken an adjusting nut of cables of a brake drive so that both levers were near an emphasis.
  13. To tighten and again to weaken a lay brake; to check up a free wheeling of back wheels.
