THE GENERAL DATA

While in service the car there is a deterioration of a protector of a tyre cover which can be divided on normal and abnormal. Deterioration is considered normal if the small resource of a protector is caused not by presence of any mechanical defects in the given vehicle, and grows out of service conditions.

Normal deterioration can be caused:

      – A condition, a profile and road planning (on a mountain streamer deterioration twice above, than in normal conditions);
      – In the speed and rigidity of a manner of driving;
      – An ambient temperature and a climate;
      – Capacity of the engine;
      – Compatibility of type of the tyre with service conditions.

Abnormally fast deterioration is caused by defect or deviations from norm in a vehicle suspension bracket, system of a steering or brakes. This type of deterioration has an inclination passing on the one hand another. Abnormally fast deterioration is shown in a kind соскобленности which is looked through within all protector, and also in shape more or less appreciable wavy deterioration appearing on one of end faces протекторного of the block. It is caused by that wheel moving does not coincide with a plane of its rotation. If there was a non-uniform deterioration of the tyre, it is necessary to check up the following:

The tyre with unilateral cone-shaped deterioration on an equal flat surface slides with withdrawal as it happens when on a plane the cone slides. Only symmetry of tyres on the right and at the left (let even strongly worn out) relieves of such withdrawal. In what an error? That replacement of one wheel by another was made without any system.

If wheels on the car did not interchange the position, the deterioration picture remains approximately symmetric concerning a median plane of a body, and the car is quite comprehensible heads.

The majority of automobile instructions contains instructions on in what terms and in what order it is necessary to interchange the position of wheels that their deterioration remained uniform enough. Tyres with the directed drawing of a protector (having on sidewall to an arrow "a rotation direction") demand still большего attention. Here the replacement scheme under the instruction is absolutely unacceptable – it is possible to interchange the position of only forward and back wheels of one party (left, right).
