3.3.1. Introduction

All designs except 6-cylinder petrol engines are described.


In present subsection operations on engine major repairs, including details of a head of the block of cylinders and the block of cylinders are considered. In subsection are included as the recommendations concerning as the organisation and preparation of works on major repairs of the engine, purchase of spare parts, and the detailed description of procedures of dismantle and installation of details of the engine, and also methods of check of a technical condition of details.

In the subsequent subsections it is meant that repair work is spent after dismantle of the power unit from the car.
