1.10. Loadings
THE GENERAL DATA

Load-carrying capacity of the car (as much as possible safe load) is resulted on a label on an inside of a cover of a fuel tank.

The maximum weight of the car, and also as much as possible safe load of a forward and back axis are resulted on a label of conformity to the safety conditions, the left door located on a door pillar.

The maximum weight of the car includes weight of the car plus a full fuel tank, plus weight of oil and a cooling liquid, plus the maximum loading which includes weight of passengers (from calculation that the average weight of passengers makes 68 kg or 68 kg on one place in salon) and luggage weight. As much as possible admissible weight of luggage does not increase at luggage carrier installation on a car roof if the weight of passengers accordingly does not decrease.

The maximum loading of axes is maximum loading which can bear each of car axes.

The prevention

Real loading on forward and back axes should not exceed as much as possible admissible and their sum should not exceed the maximum weight of the car.

Excess of safe loads can lead to damage of the car, failure and traumas.

Values of as much as possible safe load of the car are valid when loading is in regular intervals distributed in the car (passengers and luggage). At transportation of heavy cargo in a luggage carrier, it it is necessary to arrange as it is possible more close to the back bridge not to reduce controllability the car. It is forbidden to exceed as much as possible safe load on an axis of the car or to load the car so that its weight will exceed as much as possible admissible. Do not forget that additional loading influences controllability the car, therefore at the big loading reduce speed of movement.

As much as possible safe load for a luggage carrier established on a roof of the car, makes 75 kg. Use only a luggage carrier which has been developed specially for installation on your car. Do not exceed as much as possible a safe load and distribute weight in regular intervals.

Use only those types of a luggage carrier which have been checked up and approved by firm Audi.

Distribute loading in regular intervals and do not exceed as much as possible a safe load (including luggage carrier weight), and also do not raise car weight above as much as possible admissible.

As much as possible allowable weight of the trailer:

The trailer with brakes – 900 kg

The trailer without brakes

Audi-80:

Models with the 4-cylinder engine – 560 kg

Models with the 5-cylinder engine – 580 kg

Audi-80 Quattro – 640 kg

Audi-90:

Models with the 4-cylinder engine – 560 kg

Models with the 5-cylinder engine – 580 kg

Audi-90 Quattro – 640 kg

As much as possible safe load on a coupling sphere – 50 kg

Do not exceed as much as possible a safe load for your trailer.
