1.6.1. A jack and tools

THE GENERAL DATA

The jack and tooling fasten by means of a bolt to fastening on a luggage carrier left-hand side.

Before cleaning a jack in a luggage carrier, its handle should be lowered up to the end downwards.

The face wrench, screw-driver, key 10 х 13 mm, an ear for towage and a plastic pin for replacement of wheels fasten to a jack by means of a rubber strip.

The prevention

On models Aуди-Купе and Quattro the jack and a tooling fasten in a luggage carrier by means of a nut-lamb. Always check, that these tools have been reliably fixed and did not dangle, differently they can put a trauma to passengers in salon.

Use a jack only for wheel replacement. Never use a jack for lifting of other cars or other cargoes as it can lead to accident and traumas.

Never use a jack as a support at work under the car. If the jack casually to be displaced, you can receive a serious trauma.

Do not lift the car, having established a jack under a bumper as in this case, you can seriously damage it. Also, the jack can jump out that will lead to reception of a corporal trauma.

Do not establish the car on шлакобетонных blocks, bricks or other props which can crumble under the big weight.

Do not start the engine when the car costs on a jack.

At work under the car, always use the reliable support made specially for this purpose.

Face wrench

The face wrench is the tool serving for two purposes. The shestigrannoe nest on the short end of a key approaches under bolts of fastening of wheels. The shestigrannoe nest on the long end of a key approaches to spark plugs.

For convenience of removal and an inhaling of spark plugs, insert the screw-driver handle in шестигранное an aperture on the short end of a key.

The shestigrannoe nest in the screw-driver handle is provided specially for simplification of removal and installation of bolts of fastening of wheels. Not to receive a physical injury, always clean a demountable edge at use of the handle of a screw-driver for this purpose.

The prevention

The screw-driver handle should not be used for untwisting or an inhaling of bolts of fastening of wheels.

The plastic pin is used for simplification of replacement of wheels. When you insert a pin into an aperture for a bolt, it guarantees that apertures in a wheel will coincide with carving apertures in a wheel nave.

Ear for car towage

Ear for the car towage, entering into a tooling, it is possible to twirl in анкерное a nest attached to a lobby бамперной to a beam.

After installation, it is possible to stretch a towing cable through a towing ear.

At towage, observe towage rules.

Twirl a towing ear in анкерное a nest and tighten a hand.

Remove a towing ear when it is not necessary for you any more.
