Heating and ventilation drive

All functions of system of heating and salon ventilation in car Audi 80 can be operated from the block located on the instrument panel.

Three so-called cables of Boudena pass therefrom to the case of an air line often named «an air line box». In this case the air valves directing a stream of air in the necessary direction are located.

At the left: the rotary regulator (2) fans of salon is rigidly connected with the block of management and a drive of system of heating and ventilation (1). At malfunction it is necessary to replace all knot completely.

On the right: removal of a cable of Boudena at the block of a drive of system of heating and salon ventilation: to pull out pincers a countersupport (1), to disconnect the end of a cable (2) from the lever (3).

Replacement тросовых drives

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Removal and installation are identical practically at all тросовых drives.
  2. To remove a shelf at the left under the instrument panel (has undressed Salon).
  3. To remove radio.
  4. If necessary to remove a ware box.
  5. To remove all three handles of rotary switches of heating/ventilation.
  6. To weaken two screws with crosswise шлицем, located more low.
  7. To remove the panel.
  8. To turn out four bolts visible now with крестовидным шлицем.
  9. Now it is possible to extend a little from the instrument panel the block of management of heating and salon ventilation, so, to get before fastenings of cables of Boudena.
  10. By means of a screw-driver to wring out a countersupport of a cable of a drive from a latch on the drive block.
  11. The cable end is bent in the form of a loop and leaky inserted into the drive lever.
  12. On a box of an air line of a cover of cables of Boudena are rigidly screwed on eyes or are fixed by plastic latches.
  13. To turn out screws or to squeeze latches and to remove clips.

Removal of ventilating lattices

If for rotary directing air in the ventilating channel the leaf was hooked:

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To hook a ventilating lattice a screw-driver above and below and cautiously to take out it.
  2. At installation to pay attention: the top rotary hinge more thickly.
