Preheat system - diesel models

Functioning principle

The individual candle is screwed in the vortical chamber of each of engine cylinders накаливания. Candles are warmed up in the electric way, facilitating start of the cold engine. Management of power supplies giving on candles is carried out by means of the special relay/timer.

On some models of a candle накаливания continue to function during even some time after realisation of start of the engine. After the starter will be switched off candles pass in a mode of 3-minute functioning on the timer. Thus within the first 15 seconds possibility of switching-off of candles is completely excluded. Then food giving on them can be interrupted under following conditions:
   a) Squeezing of a pedal of gas on a course more than 11 mm and its keeping in the pressed condition within more than 2.5 seconds;
   b) Registration by the gauge of temperature of a cooling liquid of value from above 60°С.

In an instrument guard of the car the special control lamp informing the driver about operation of system of preheat is built in. Lamp deenergizing confirms readiness of the engine for start. Pressure giving on candles is made within even several seconds after lamp deenergizing. If during taken away time it will not be undertaken attempts of start of the engine, the timer disconnects giving of a food in order to avoid an overheat of candles and подсадки batteries.
