4.7.1. Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. On the working heated-up engine press the top hose of a radiator and gradually release. At the serviceable pump in a hose the liquid pressure should be felt.

2. In the pump the control aperture for a liquid drain (it is shown by an arrow) is provided. At failure of an epiploon of the pump through a control aperture the cooling liquid follows. To find this aperture it is necessary to illuminate space behind a conducted flange of the pump, directly under shaft.

3. Deterioration of bearings can be defined shaking the pump upwards and downwards and on characteristic howl in a forward part of the engine. The close sound on a tonality can publish and a sliping belt of a drive, therefore it is possible to draw an erroneous conclusion on malfunction of the pump. To exclude a sound from a belt put dispersion special structure for automobile belts.
