6.3.5. Check and adjustment of frequency of rotation of idling

THE GENERAL DATA

The diesel engine does not have ignition system, therefore the special tachometre which connect to generator plug W is necessary for check.

It is possible to measure frequency of rotation and by means of a sampler of ignition VAG 1367, using the gauge of century of m. т. On a leading pulley.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. To warm up the engine. The oil temperature should be not more low +60 ° With.

2. To connect a control tachometre according to the manufacturer instruction.

3. To switch off all consumers of the electric power (light, a radio tape recorder, etc.).

4. To check up on a tachometre frequency of rotation of idling. For engines of models CN and DE it should be (750±50) mines-¹. If it is necessary, adjust frequency of rotation of idling by turn of the adjusting screw (1), having weakened preliminary an inhaling of a counternut (2).

5. For engines of models NC and 3D frequency of rotation of idling should be (830±30) mines-1 and (840±30) mines-¹ accordingly. In case of need adjust frequency of rotation of idling by the adjusting screw (2), having weakened preliminary an inhaling of a counternut (1).
