9.3. A steering column

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. To disconnect a wire from "the minus" plug of the storage battery. 2. To remove a steering wheel (subsection 9.2 see). 3. To weaken fastening подрулевых switches through an aperture located from below in a casing подрулевых of switches. To remove подрулевые switches from a pipe of a steering column, having disconnected колодку with wires. 4. To remove a combination of devices (subsection 12.1.5.15 see). 5. Through an aperture in the panel of a combination of devices to drill a drill in diameter of 3,5 mm a bolt of fastening of the case of the switch (lock) of ignition with the cut off head. 6. To take away draughts and from the steering mechanism, having removed an arm and a clamping plate. 7. To turn away a bolt of fastening of a coupling collar of the bottom shaft of a steering column, to shift a collar upwards and to disconnect the bottom shaft from a shaft приводной gear wheels of the mechanism of a steering. 8. To turn out screws of fastening and to remove the bottom shelf from outside the driver. 9. To remove воздуходув for blowing feet of the driver. 10. To turn away a bolt of fastening of a collar, having disconnected a shaft of a steering column from a shaft приводной gear wheels of the mechanism of a steering. On models with a steering column without the hydraulic booster preliminary to shift a protective casing. 11. To turn on two nuts and to take out two bolts of fastening of a steering column to an arm. 12. To lower an a bit steering column and to remove the case of the switch of ignition, having disconnected from it Pads with wires. 13. To take out a steering column through an aperture in the panel of devices.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. To establish a steering column upside-down. 2. Thus the top and bottom shaft of a steering column are compressed against the stop. To keep shaft in such position, it is recommended to remove preliminary воздуходув for blowing feet of the driver. 3. Before connection of a shaft of a steering column with shaft приводной gear wheels of the mechanism of a steering to insert into the switch of ignition a key and to disconnect the antijoy ride device. 4. The bolt of 17 fastenings of a collar is tightened by the moment 25 Н·м (2,5 кгс·м), and two bolts of 18 fastenings of a steering column – the moment 35 Н·м (3,5 кгс·м).
