8.8.3. The lock of an automatic gear change

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1) move the gear change lever to position Р and include ignition 2) if a brake pedal is not pressed, the gear change lever is locked it it is impossible to switch to other transfer 3) if a brake pedal is pressed, the switching lever can be switched to other transfer 4) move the gear change lever to position N and include ignition 5) if a brake pedal is not pressed, the gear change lever is locked – it cannot be switched to other transfer 6) if a brake pedal is pressed, the switching lever can be switched to other transfer

At speed over 5 km/h, at inclusion of neutral transfer, the switching lever should not be locked. The lever should be switched to transfer of a forward course without pressing a brake pedal.

At speed less than 5 km/h, at inclusion of neutral transfer, the gear change lever should not be locked within 1 second. After that, it cannot be switched to other transfer, without having squeezed out a brake pedal.
