Repair of a back suspension bracket

At the left: elements of a back suspension bracket of wheels at front-wheel models:

Removal of a back amortisation rack

Front-wheel models

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To raise the car from both parties.
  2. To provide car fixing.
  3. To remove a wheel.
  4. To bring a support under an axis from that party from which the amortisation rack will act in film, and thus to raise an axis approximately on 10 mm.
  5. To weaken the bottom fixing bolt on an amortisation rack.
  6. To weaken four top fixing bolts on an amortisation rack. Thus to hold a rack.
  7. To remove an amortisation rack.
  8. At installation at first to tighten the top bolts of an amortisation rack (55 Н•м).
  9. Freely to put the bottom fastening of an amortisation rack, thus to replace самоконтрящуюся a nut.
  10. To lower the car on the earth all four wheels.
  11. Only now to tighten the bottom fixing bolt of an amortisation rack the moment 240 Н•м. Rezino-metal plugs Otherwise can warp.

Removal of a back amortisation rack

All-wheel drive models

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To raise the car.
  2. To provide fixing of the raised car.
  3. To remove a wheel.
  4. To bring a support under the cross-section lever of a suspension bracket from that party from which the amortisation rack will act in film.
  5. To unscrew the bottom fixing bolt on an amortisation rack.
  6. To weaken four top fixing bolts on an amortisation rack. Thus to hold a rack that all suspension bracket of the back bridge has not hit from within about a wing.
  7. To weaken and remove a fixing bolt of the cross-section lever of a suspension bracket at the top of an amortisation rack.
  8. To remove an amortisation rack.
  9. At installation freely to put the bottom fastening of an amortisation rack, thus to replace самоконтрящуюся a nut and bolts.
  10. To tighten the top bolts of an amortisation rack (55 Н•м).
  11. Freely to screw a fixing bolt of the top cross-section lever of a suspension bracket, here too to replace bolts and самоконтрящиеся nuts.
  12. To lower the car on the earth all four wheels. If to tighten bolts of a suspension bracket of wheels on the raised car rezino-metal plugs will warp.
  13. Only now to tighten the bottom fixing nut of an amortisation rack the moment 90 Н•м and in summary to turn on 1/2 turns (90 °).
  14. To tighten a nut of a fixing bolt of the top cross-section lever of a suspension bracket the moment 70 Н•м and in summary to turn on 1/2 turns (180 °).

Removal of back shock-absorbers

Front-wheel models

Before replacement of shock-absorbers it is necessary to establish, what running gear is established on your car. Only in this case you can order the necessary shock-absorbers. It can be learnt on the carrier of parametres of the car – the tablet pasted in a niche of a spare wheel under a rug. Marks mean:

  • 1ВА – serial execution
  • 1ВЕ – a sports variant
  • 1ВВ – execution for bad roads

Now it is possible to begin:

  1. To remove an amortisation rack.
  2. To establish натяжитель springs on coils of springs and a few to compress a spring.
  3. That натяжители springs have not come off, it is necessary to paste over corresponding coils of springs клеющей with a tape.
  4. To remove the top rubber support of an amortisation rack.
  5. To weaken top самоконтрящуюся a nut on a shock-absorber rod. Thus to hold with its key with internal шестигранником.
  6. To hold the shock-absorber and to remove it after nut removal.
  7. To remove springs and other details from the shock-absorber.
  8. At assemblage to pay attention:
  • The bottom end of a spring at correct installation is directed on a car left-hand side back, and on right forward.
  • Colour marks on a spring specify a direction downwards to a spring plate.
  • The fastening aperture below on the shock-absorber shows perpendicularly to a movement direction.
  1. Assemblage of elements should be made in an order specified in drawing below.
  2. Installation of an amortisation rack is described in the previous section.

Removal of the back shock-absorber

All-wheel drive models

At all-wheel drive cars (Audi 80 quattro) the shock-absorber separates from the removed amortisation rack with the help натяжителя springs. It to execute easily.

It becomes heavier at installation: the corner of the bottom fastening of the shock-absorber to the top fastening of the shock-absorber should make in the established condition precisely 21 ± 2 °. Without adjusting V. A. G. 1752 which workshop Audi uses, it is almost impossible to establish so precisely. Our council that who does not wish to transfer all work in a workshop: it is possible to remove simply an amortisation rack, to ask a workshop to establish precisely the shock-absorber, and then again to establish houses an amortisation rack.

Regulation of bearings of naves of back wheels

Front-wheel models

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To raise a back part of the car and to fix it.
  2. To remove a wheel cap, шплинт and корончатый a cap on a way described in the head Brake system.
  3. Models with back drum-type brake mechanisms: to wring out upwards an adjusting wedge in the way, described in the above-stated section. Then the brake drum will rotate absolutely freely.
  4. Without excessive efforts to tighten шестигранную a nut, rotating thus a wheel that has not clamped bearings.
  5. Again slightly to weaken a nut.
  6. Люфт it is established correctly if easy pressing of a screw-driver it is possible to shift slightly a persistent washer behind a nut. The screw-driver edge thus is impossible опирать about edge of a nave of a wheel.

Bearings of a nave of a wheel of all-wheel drive models

At correctly established люфте the nave bearing easy pressing of a screw-driver it is possible to shift slightly a persistent washer (1) under an adjusting nut (2). Thus the screw-driver edge should not lean against a brake drum or a brake disk.

  • If and now still it is impossible to insert lock шплинт into a lock clamp, that, means, the nut needs to be turned a little in a direction to "close".

At all-wheel drive models and on a back axis stand запрессованные double ball-bearings. Though they also do not need to be regulated, but in the absence of compression moulds they cannot be changed independently.
