14.46. The hatch

THE GENERAL DATA

To reach such difference of temperatures, basically, simply, it is enough to establish the conditioner in the car. But the device недешев, and in service is a little whimsical. It is possible поманипулировать glasses of windows, but optimum result to achieve hardly it will be possible. From small щелочки effect any, and in well slightly opened window – here not before difference of temperatures the wind rushes into 6–7 degrees, especially in the winter.

The hatch can become the conciliatory proposal. Thanks to it it is possible to improve a microclimate of your car essentially.

At movement speed of an air stream over the car is great enough. Inside salon it practically is absent. Accordingly, pressure of air in salon is more. But it is necessary hardly to slightly open the hatch as air from within will start to be extended. It is easy for checking up, having lighted in "залюкованном" the car. The smoke from a cigarette a stream will start to come to light, without leaving in salon even a smell. And it should affect a microclimate in the car (and in direct, and figuratively), especially, when in it are smoking and non-smoking.

Because in salon of the car with the hatch there is an intensive exchange of air, the heater here too works in the winter more effectively, providing necessary temperature balance.

Except all mentioned, it is possible to note one more important thing. In case of road accident when the exit from the car through regular doors and windows is complicated or impossible, it is possible to take advantage of the hatch as an emergency exit.

By the way, have noticed? Oddish, by sight linguists, the word "залюкованный" has entered into a lexicon of motorists thoroughly enough and in anybody any more does not cause bewilderment. As, however, and the hatch in the car roof, considered first a limit of luxury and an accessory only very expensive foreign cars.

What hatches happen?

Conditionally they can be divided into two classes. The first are hatches which are established on the car on manufacturer. They, as a rule, are opaque (though there are exceptions), and in open position the cover hides under a ceiling covering. There are especially "heaped up", consisting of two halves and providing some operating modes: air fence, an extract, the strengthened extract. A drive at them in most cases either mechanical (manually), or already electrified.

The second class concern врезные hatches. They can be seen on the majority both import, and our cars. They, as a rule, differ from "firm" a transparent cover and one position at which of the car there is an extract внутрисалонного air. (Though there are models which allow to uncover and enjoy completely the open sky over a head. But about it a bit later.)

Than are good врезные hatches? Conclusive advantage considers that they are unified: to establish this miracle it is possible on any car, from Cadillac to "Zaporozhtsa". Process of installation does not occupy a lot of time, naturally, in the presence of skills. At the expert on it leaves hour ones and a half-two. The hatch complete set includes a paper template on which the window in a ceiling is cut out. Psychologically procedure, of course, not from pleasant – on the new car open a roof, as a can. However, at all on new (namely such "democratism" differ врезные hatches). But the anticipation of advantages of this simple device should overcome sincere discomfort.

After "skin" is removed, the roof amplifier leaves, to tell more precisely, that its part which has got to "a window" aperture. To it on change the framework of the hatch which at all consults with the duties is worse further comes. Penultimate action is removal of a part of an upholstery of a ceiling. And in summary – the installation of the hatch which is bearing a faint resemblance to assemblage пялец for embroidery on a fabric. After that it is not recommended to use the hatch within three days: hermetic which apply at installation, should fall asleep. (If you had to face "covers" – so name hatches on сленге, – which flow, it occurs that last requirement is not fulfilled.)

With what happen врезные hatches? The choice here, however, as well as disorder of the prices, is great: from the most simple, opening in one position and managing to the owners in $180 together with installation, to "heaped up" electric for $700 with the same installation.

But the most optimum variant, in our opinion, – installation of the hatch opening discretely, in some fixed positions, and providing the open corner most suitable in a concrete case. Usually these "covers" have from two to four fixed positions or a mechanical drive in the form of the rotating handle.

In the majority hatches are executed from the blacked out glass. But sometimes even such protection does not suffice, especially, when the sun in zenith. In this case can help sun-protection шторки which are included into the complete set of some "covers".

There are hatches which not simply provide an extract of air from salon, but also are demountable. Such variant will suit fans of a safari. In the open hatch it is possible to be put out either with a gun, or with the camera. Only in the car it is necessary to prepare in advance a place for removed "cover". It though is executed from каленого, and sometimes and the glass reinforced by a microwire, nevertheless demands the accurate reference.

Most expensive and labour-consuming at installation it is considered the electric hatch. If it not сдвижной the principle of its work differs nothing from others, simply process of opening is entrusted an electromotor. By and large – overindulgence, but in the presence of the firm alarm system (providing at statement on protection lock-out of all glasses) you any more will not forget to close the hatch, it it will make.

Сдвижной the hatch gives to owners much more ample opportunities. It is possible to tell, the sum of taken all together. Here only in the shifted condition it bears a faint resemblance обтекатель on the main tractor. Though it can be convenient addition for the car to which often should drag the trailer-summer residence. In the car not hot, and the economy of fuel is available. Has pressed the button – and it is ready. However, the price in $700 bites a little. However everyone is free to choose. As a healthy microclimate in the car – not luxury, and necessity.
