The lock of ignition/blocking of a wheel

The ignition lock has four substantive provisions: S, And, M and D.

At key turn in position S blocking of a steering column is carried out. To unblock a column, twist slightly a wheel, simultaneously without effort turning a key. The given position - the only thing at which the key can be taken from the lock.
Key turn in position And provides possibility of use of accessories on the parked car (a radio receiver, window raiser, adjustment of seats and so forth). On an instrument guard the control lamp of a charge of the accumulator (5) (the Scheme of an arrangement and a designation of control lamps of a combination of devices see an illustration) lights up.

Ignition joins key turn in M.Pri's position it on an instrument guard following control lamps should light up: a charge, ABS, level and pressure of oil, a lay brake, temperature and level of a cooling liquid, self-diagnostics of the engine, pressure and level of a hydraulic liquid, forward and lateral pillows of safety, preheat (diesel models), an electronic key and STOP.

Control lamps which should light up at ignition inclusion

As soon as the control lamp “an electronic key” will go out, it is possible to start engine start.

Refusal of control lamps of inclusion at key turn in M position testifies to presence of malfunctions at corresponding systems.

Key turn in position D carries out start of the engine by a starter. As soon as the engine will be started, the key should be released, having allowed it to return back to the position of M answering to a condition of the working engine.

At all do not turn a key in position D at the working engine!


At all do not take a key from the lock of ignition to a full stop of the car. In order to avoid control loss over management and braking, move always with working engine.

Having parked the car and having taken out a key from the ignition lock, make sure of reliability of blocking of a steering column, for what slightly повращайте a steering wheel.

Start of motion

Make sure that the lever of switching of transfers/selectors is in neutral position.

The petrol engine

Engine start

Engine start should be made at the released pedal of gas. Continue to turn the engine a starter until it will not be started, however, no more than 10 seconds for attempt.

At air temperature more low 0°С, for the purpose of simplification of start of the engine, squeeze out a coupling pedal, then slowly release it.

Engine restart

Заливание the engine superfluous quantity of fuel leads to difficulties at its start. In such situation squeeze out against the stop a pedal of gas and keep it in this position before engine start. Turn a starter no more than 10 seconds on end. Right after start realisation release the ignition key.

Still start does not manage to be carried out after several attempts, address for consultation to experts of car-care centre.

If engine start was not made from the first before to repeat attempt, wait about 10 seconds, keeping a pedal of an accelerator wrung out.

The diesel engine

Engine start

Turn a key in M position (ignition, preheat), wait, while the control lamp of preheat will go out, then start to turn the engine a starter before start realisation.

At air temperature more low 0°С, for the purpose of simplification of start of the engine, squeeze out a coupling pedal, then slowly release it.

Do not squeeze out during start a gas pedal.

Before to begin movement after realisation of start of the engine, wait, while the control lamp of pressure and level of a hydraulic liquid will go out.

Equipped with system a model turbo-supercharging

Do not suppress the engine, preliminary without having allowed to work as it some time for single turns: it is necessary to allow to fall to comprehensible value to turns турбокомпрессора.

Squeezing of a pedal of gas at the moment of ignition deenergizing is fraught with serious damages турбокомпрессора!

At all do not leave the car with working engine in badly ventilated premise!

The gear change lever

Models with РКПП

The gear change lever is established on the central console of the car.

The switching scheme is put on an end face of the handle of the lever. Switch transfers smoothly, trying to avoid a gnash and vibrations.

At all do not include a reverse gear to a full stop of the car!

Models with АТ

Selector AT lever as well as the gear change lever on models with РКПП, is established on the central console of the car. The design of automatic transmission provides following possible high-speed modes:
Р
- the Parking;
R
- the Backspacing (reverse gear);
N
- Neutral position;
D
- Movement in a full range of forward transfers;
3
- Movement in a range limited to the three first forward transfers;
2
- Movement in a range limited to the two first forward transfers;
1
- Movement in a range of the first forward transfer.

Unblocking

At switching of high-speed modes АТ in the directions specified by arrows (see номограмму an illustration above) it is necessary to squeeze out the button блокиратора () on the lever handle (see in the same place).

Realisation of start of the engine probably only in two positions of the lever: Р or N. In all other positions start is not obviously possible.

Right after realisation of start of the engine squeeze out on a pedal of a foot brake, then by means of the selector lever choose demanded high-speed mode АТ.

Safety measures

Carry out switching of high-speed modes only at the squeezed out pedal of a foot brake.

Before leaving the car, make sure that the selector lever is in R.Esli's position the selector lever is not translated in position Р at opening of any of car doors the alarm buzzer will sound.

Driving modes

On some models possibility of a choice of two additional modes of driving (besides normal) is provided. To the right of the panel of the lever of the selector two push-button switches are located, allowing to translate transmission in modes of sports driving and driving in winter conditions. The chosen mode of driving, no less than all high-speed modes of transmission are reflected in the indicator included in a combination.

At a normal mode of driving both buttons also should be wrung out, and symbols corresponding to them on the indicator of a combination of devices - are put out.

The sports mode is more dynamical, winter promotes softer driving adapted for slippery roads.

At button squeezing, on the corresponding indicator in a combination of devices the symbol lights up, and transmission is translated in more dynamical mode of a gear change.

Button squeezing carries out a choice of a winter mode of driving (on the indicator of a combination of devices the corresponding symbol lights up). In the given mode the first transfer is not used. The car start of motion while translating the selector lever in position D is carried out at once on the second transfer. The gear change occurs more slowly.

On some models, besides buttons and in the same panel one more button (1) is added, allowing to carry out movement on the first transfer at a choice of a high-speed mode 2. Translate the selector lever in position 2 and press the button (1). On the indicator in a combination of devices both symbols should go out and. To leave a mode (1) translate the lever in position D or repeatedly press the button (1).

Following pressing the button (1) leads to transition to a normal mode of driving (both symbols).

The simultaneous blinking of symbols and the indicator of a combination of devices specify in a malfunction. In this case backspacing inclusion (R) can be accompanied by a sensitive push. Consult at experts of car-care centre.

Instructions for use automatic transmission

Parking ()

Transfer of the lever of selector AT in position Р allows to avoid risk of spontaneous recoil of the parked car at the expense of blocking of driving wheels. Mode inclusion should be carried out only after a full stop of the car. Having made sure that the selector lever is translated in mode Р, cock a lay brake.

Movement by a backing (R)

Backspacing inclusion (transfer of the lever of the selector in position R) should be carried out only after a full stop of the car. At the moment of inclusion it is necessary to keep squeezed out a pedal of a foot brake. Do not squeeze out a gas pedal right after mode switching.

Neutral position (N)

At all do not translate the selector lever in position N during movement (even for short time).

Advance in a full range of transfers (D)

In the given position (D) transmission automatically makes switching between four forward transfers depending on speed of movement of the car and engine turns. At overtaking possibility of automatic switching of transmission on a hill-climbing gear is provided at squeezing against the stop gas pedals (a mode kick-down).

Advance in a range limited to the three first transfers (3)

The given mode joins transfer of the lever of the selector in position 3 and is usually used at movement on a slippery covering, twisting road, and also at trailer towage.

Advance in a range limited to the two first transfers (2)

The given mode is used at movement on a streamer with the trailer, as a part of a column, or on a cross-country terrain. Translate the selector lever in position (2).

Advance in a range limited to the first transfer (1)

The mode should be used only at movement on abrupt slopes with a speed below 50 km/h.

All modes

Do not switch transmission compulsorily to a hill-climbing gear if engine turns exceed value 4000 in a minute.

The gear change from position N in positions R, D, 2 and 1 should be carried out only at the engine working on small turns, in order to avoid transmission destruction.

Engine start is possible only in positions Р or N.

Control system of speed (темпостат)

The general data

Темпостат allows to support automatically a constant, chosen at the discretion of the driver (but not below value of 40 km/h), speed of movement of the car.

The system should be used only in such road conditions when nothing prevents to move to the car with constant speed.

Do not include темпостат on roads with brisk movement, and also on twisting roads and roads with a slippery covering.

The management handle темпостатом () is built in in a steering column below left подрулевого the switch. Nearby, in the panel of devices the push-button switch темпостата () is built in.

Inclusion темпостата

At squeezing of the push-button switch () the control lamp built in in it should light up. Repeated pressing of the button carries out deenergizing темпостата (the lamp should go out).

Choice of cruiser speed of movement

Having squeezed out a gas pedal, disperse the car till demanded speed which wish then to support with the help темпостата. Push the handle And upwards or downwards: the chosen speed will be brought in memory of system.

During movement in case of need the driver can always raise speed, having pressed a gas pedal (for example, at overtaking). At release pedals speed will automatically return to the chosen value.

Short movement of the handle of management upwards it is possible to carry out updating supported темпостатом cruiser value of speed towards increase. At отжимании handles downwards supported speed, accordingly, will decrease.

At included темпостате do not disturb to spontaneous movings of a pedal of gas, holding on it a foot.

Cancellation of the chosen cruiser mode can be carried out in two ways: pull on itself the handle And (see an illustration above), or squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake.

Return to remembered темпостатом to a high-speed mode after its cancellation can be carried out repeated fast displacement of the handle upwards.

Lay brake and system of antiblocking of brakes

Lay brake

To put in action a lay brake, it is necessary to cock the lever of its management located in a back part of the central console of the car. The more a platform bias on which the car is parked, the it is necessary to cock the lever more strongly. The simplification of raising of the lever is promoted by preliminary squeezing of a foot brake.

In any case, with a view of an additional guarantee of safety, besides a lay brake include also the first/reverse gear (models with РКПП), or translate the selector lever in position Р (models with АТ). Forward wheels develop so that in case of spontaneous recoil of the car they have rested at once against a sidewalk border (in the presence of that).

For отпускания a lay brake pull a control lever upwards and press the button built in in its end face (see to an arrow an illustration).

If at the included ignition the lay brake is cocked, or released not up to the end, on an instrument guard the corresponding control lamp (the left lower corner of an illustration see) will light up.

System of antiblocking of brakes (ABS)

The given system is established on some models and appreciably raises traffic safety, preventing premature blocking of wheels of the car at sharp braking or at weak coupling of wheels with road.

The system allows to keep the control over management even at sharp braking on very slippery covering.

Functionality of all basic elements ABS is supervised by the electronic block of management (ECU) ABS. Interrogation of a condition of components of system is made by the block both at the moment of ignition inclusion, and in the course of movement.

Control lamp ABS lights up at inclusion of ignition and should go out in 2 seconds. If the lamp continues to burn, it testifies to malfunctions in system. Operation of a control lamp during movement also means detection by system of self-checking of refusals. ABS it is thus disconnected, however, the brake system continues to function not less in a usual mode.

In order to avoid more serious refusals of system the car should be driven away for carrying out of diagnostics of necessary repair in a car-care centre workshop.

Remember that ABS in no way it is impossible to consider as panacea from any unexpectedness! Moving on a slippery road covering (ice, small gravel, a moisture, etc.), observe limiting care!
