Check of level of impellent oil

Preparation

Park the car on an equal horizontal platform, whenever possible with a firm covering.

Check of level of impellent oil should be made before the trip first in a present day, or after not less than 5 minutes after an engine stop.

If to make check directly after an engine stop, for accuracy of the received results it will be impossible to be charged, as the oil part will not have time to flow down in the crater pallet, remaining inside маслотоков the power unit.


Modern engines are very sensitive to quality of engine oil filled in them, therefore try to use only the recommended grades of oils (see more low).

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Necessity for frequent performance of updating of level of impellent oil is an obvious sign of presence of leaks of the last. Park the car over the sheet of a pure cardboard spread on the earth and on presence of oil stains on the last after a while (usually the car is left over a cardboard for the night) try to define a leak source. Absence of traces of leaks says that the reason of decrease in level of oil is its burning out in the course of normal functioning of the engine (see more low).

2. Watch, that level of impellent oil constantly was between the bottom and top marks in an edge measuring probeа (see more low). Excessive lowering of level of oil can lead to serious internal damages of the engine. Refuelling in the engine too an oil considerable quantity can be at the bottom of failure of epiploons as a result of loading increase on them.

3. The site measuring probeа for various engines is shown on accompanying illustrations of subsection “components of an impellent compartment Subject to check” (see above). Usually the handle probeа for simplification of search is painted in bright colour. Take probe from a directing tube in a forward part of the block of the engine.

4. Pure rags dry wipe an edge probeа, completely having removed from it all traces of engine oil. Insert wiped probe on the place, against the stop having pushed it in directing tube, then again take it from the engine.

5. On size of the moistened site of an edge define engine oil level in the engine. Level should be between top (MOVE) and bottom (MIN) marks in an edge probeа. To lift level from mark MIN to a mark the MOVE it is required about 1.5 litres of oil.

6. Oil is added through a jellied mouth after removal from it of a cover. Uncover and add oil to demanded level (for convenience take advantage of a funnel). To add oil follows in the small portions in stages, constantly checking level on probeу. Watch that level has not risen above a mark the MOVE.
