Check of level of a hydraulic liquid

In hydraulic systems of cars of mark Citroёn Xantia the mineral liquid of type LHM having green colouring is used. Application of a hydraulic liquid of any other type, including a usual brake liquid, can lead to failure of rubber consolidations and system hoses. Store a hydraulic liquid in tightly closed container equipped with the corresponding label.


The car should be parked on an equal horizontal platform, whenever possible with a firm covering.
Remember that an indispensable condition at service of components of hydraulic system is the requirement to careful observance of cleanliness. Before to start updating of level of a hydraulic liquid wipe a cover of a jellied mouth and a surface of the tank surrounding it. Add only pure hydraulic liquid LHM!


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Necessity for frequent performance of updating of level of a hydraulic liquid is an obvious sign of presence of leaks of last. It is necessary to reveal a leak source immediately, and its reason to eliminate. On cars Citroyon Xantia the general tank of the hydraulic liquid used both in brake system, and in system of hydrostrengthening of a wheel is provided.

2. At occurrence of suspicions on leaks of a hydraulic liquid it is necessary to refuse using the car until the condition of brake system and system PAS will not be checked up, and all malfunctions are not eliminated.

3. At the engine working on single turns translate a control lever an active pneumatichydraulic suspension bracket in the position corresponding to the maximum road gleam.

4. The tank of a hydraulic liquid is located in a back part of an impellent compartment. Wipe a surface round a cover of a jellied mouth pure rags. Find an observation port in the top part of the tank.

5. Level of a hydraulic liquid in the tank is checked through a special observation port in the top part of the last. The yellow float of the indicator () should be between two red rings ().

It is possible to consider results of check authentic only at a suspension bracket stabilised in as much as possible lifted position.

6. For level updating use only firm hydraulic liquid LHM of the green colour, stored in tightly closed container. To lift level from the bottom red ring to top it is required about 0.5 l of a liquid. Uncover a jellied mouth of the tank and carefully wipe it. Observing of indicator indications through an observation port add in the tank necessary quantity of a hydraulic liquid (its level should rise to the top red ring). Establish into place a cover of a jellied mouth and muffle the engine.
