Switches

Removal of switches (toggle-switches)

At the left: to weaken three screws with crosswise шлицем (arrows). To Uncover (1), to disconnect a covering with the lever switch (2).

On the right: the covering and the lever switch (1) are removed, separated multicontact tips (2 and 4). Now it is necessary to disconnect only one-contact connection (3).

Keyboard switches are fixed spring скобами (arrows). For removal it is necessary to extend a shelf (a white arrow) and to separate the tip (1).

For replacement of bulbs of illumination (3) and a symbol (2) to remove the keyboard switch (1).

At all-wheel drive cars in the central console one more keyboard switch (2) blocking of differential of the back bridge is located. As well as other switches, it too is simply inserted. For bulb replacement it is possible to hook and remove the button of the switch (1).

Models with 4 and 5-cylinder engines: on an illustration the removed panel with switches is shown:

1 and 2 – fixing partitions for screw connections;
3 and 5 – switches electric Glass lifts;
4 – the central switch;
6 – the switch of electric regulation of external rear-view mirrors. Arrows specify in fixing ledges with which help the element first line keeps in a door covering.

Models with 6-cylinder engines: for removal of the panel from switches (1) it is necessary to disconnect left an armrest (2) from a covering. For this purpose to turn out three screws with internal шестигранником in the bottom part of an armrest. On an illustration keys for internal шестигранников (arrows) are put to screws.

At the removed combination of devices both screws without a head (2) are visible, keeping the switch of the lock of ignition (3) – on an illustration it is shown removed together with the connected tip (1).

Lever switches

Lever switches (toggle-switches) located at the wheel, are collected in Audi 80 in the complex block and by that can be replaced only in a complex. More low the removal description:

PERFORMANCE ORDER

To remove a steering wheel (the head the Suspension bracket and a steering). Especial care is demanded by work with a steering wheel of the models equipped with a pillow of safety.
To insert a screw-driver with крестовой a head on the right below into dredging on a covering of a steering column and to find the screw.
A few to weaken the screw, but not to take out completely.
To extend an element with the lever switch.
To separate multicontact tips and one-contact plug connection.
If it will be necessary to replace the switch it is necessary to turn away two screws in the bottom part of a covering and to remove covering parts.

Keyboard switches

As a rule, three keyboard switches are located in Audi 80 under the central ventilating apertures on the panel of devices. In this case nearby there is a small shelf. If switches more than two the smaller shelf in the sizes is put, at full number of switches for it do not remain places absolutely. Thus, removal of switches also differs a little.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

To pull out заглушку that it was possible to reach an underside of the nearby switch.
Or to pull out felt заглушку and to turn out the screw located behind it with crosswise шлицем. To pull out a shelf.
The version without a shelf: to remove autoradio (the description of it see more low in this chapter) and with the connected wires to pull out from an adjusting nest.
All versions: from an underside to squeeze out the switch from an adjusting aperture
To separate the multicontact tip.
In the same way act in film заглушки for installation of new press switches.

Replacement of illumination of switches

In keyboard switches small bulbs with a glass socle for illumination of symbols are established, and also – of them – in addition bulbs for symbol-arrow illumination «the switch is included in some». Replacement of bulbs:

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Cautiously to hook a key a small screw-driver.
To pull out a bulb with a glass socle sharp pincers or strong tweezers.
To insert a new bulb with a glass socle.
This method годен not for all versions of switches. If it is impossible to change a bulb, it is necessary to change all switch.

Switches in an armrest

In the top lath полокотника the left door switches of electric regulation of external rear-view mirrors and electric Glass lifts are located. Removal:

Models with 4 and 5-cylinder engines: to turn out the screw () with crosswise шлицами in the bottom part of an armrest to remove this part.
Now there were accessible two screws (in the models which have been not equipped electric window lifterами, – four) to the top part of an armrest – to turn out.
Slightly to raise the top part of an armrest with switches and with effort to extend back.
Now it is possible to unhook hooks at a forward end face of an armrest of edge of a covering of a door.
Cautiously to extend upwards the panel with switches.
Models with 6-cylinder engines: to weaken in total three screws with internal шестигранником 4 mm in the bottom part of an armrest, to remove an armrest.
To take out the panel with switches from an armrest.
All models: to separate multicontact tips.
To unblock plastic clamps of switches and to take out switches downwards from a plate.
