| 2. Establish the piston of 1st cylinder in ВМТ a compression step (subsection 3.1.4 see). |
| 3. In this position коленвала check up backlashes of valves of 1st cylinder. |
| 4. Backlashes are measured in valves probeом, laid between an end face of the valve and the adjusting clown corresponding коромысла. Щуп should move under small effort. |

5. In need of adjustment release a counternut and adjust a backlash, turning the clown the piece of a thick wire inserted into its aperture. |
| 6. Keeping the clown, tighten a counternut and again check up a backlash. |
| 7. On engines M10 adjust other valves as 1–3–4–2. Turn коленвал on 180 ° clockwise and adjust valves of 3rd cylinder. Repeat adjustment for valves of other cylinders. |
| 8. On engines M20 and М30 valves are regulated as 1–5–3–6–2–4. After adjustment of valves of 1st cylinder turn коленвал on 120 ° clockwise and adjust valves of 5th cylinder. Repeat adjustment for valves of other cylinders. |
| 9. Establish a cover of a head of cylinders, having replaced a lining. |
