THE GENERAL DATA
The prevention

Besides periodic check of a brake it is necessary to check each time at wheel removal, or at suspicions on their malfunction.

The system of brakes of considered cars is equipped by gauges of deterioration with the light alarm system. Fire of a control lamp of brakes specifies in necessity of immediate replacement колодок.

In necessity of immediate check of brakes specify lateral drift of the car at braking, an excessive course of a pedal of a brake, a pulsation of a pedal of a brake (is the normal phenomenon at system ABS operation), подтекание to a liquid.
PERFORMANCE ORDER
Hoses and tubes
1. Lift the car and remove wheels. Check up presence on hoses of cracks, swelling and other damages. Check up presence подтеканий on unions of tubes and hoses. Replace the damaged details.
Disk brakes
2. Quickly to check up a residual thickness of a material of overlays on колодках brakes it is possible through a window in a support of a forward brake. If a residual thickness at least one overlay less than 2,0 mm, or deterioration of overlays non-uniform replace all four Pads in the complete set.
3. Check up a disk condition, having removed a support (subsection 10.5 see). At detection задиров, the painted sites (traces of a strong warming up), traces of deep development, remove a disk and прошлифуйте or replace both disks (subsection 10.6 see).
Drum-type brakes
4. Remove a drum (subsection 10.7 see).
5. Check up a thickness of brake overlays back колодок and their condition. If the thickness клееных is less than overlays 2,0 mm (or distance from overlays to heads of rivets less than 2,0 mm) overlays replace in the complete set with an axis. It is necessary to replace overlays also at detection of cracks, a glossy surface, or at pollution by a brake liquid or greasing.
6. Check up a condition of springs and the regulator mechanism.
7. Check up presence of traces подтеканий a brake liquid on wheel cylinders for what cautiously hook and take away an external sealant of the cylinder.
8. If under a sealant traces of a brake liquid replace the cylinder or уплотнители (subsection 10.8 see) are found out.
9. Check up presence on drums of deep development, cracks, furrows and the painted sites. If defects cannot be removed an emery paper drums should be removed and pierced.
Manual brake
10. The manual brake should be adjusted, if the car is not kept on an abrupt bias (subsection 10.11 see).
