The prevention

Replacement of a cooling liquid is made on the cold engine. Avoid hit of a cooling liquid on the painted surfaces of a body and clothes. Otherwise wash out a place where the cooling liquid, a water considerable quantity has got.

Plums of a cooling liquid

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Uncover a broad tank. 2. Establish the container for gathering of a cooling liquid under a radiator. 3. Loosen the a collar also remove a hose from the basis of a radiator and merge cooling liquid in the container. 4. After plum of a cooling liquid establish a hose on a radiator and fix its collar.

Washing of system of cooling

Cooling liquid is necessary for changing periodically, and cooling system to wash out, as in system channels the rust and a dirt is formed. The radiator is necessary for washing out irrespective of the engine.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Radiator washing 1. Disconnect hoses from a radiator. 2. Insert a hose into an entrance aperture of the top tank of a radiator, include water and wash out a radiator before occurrence at its finest from the bottom tank of a radiator. 3. If it is not possible to wash out a radiator pure water take advantage of a washing-up liquid. Engine washing 4. Remove the thermostat, then temporarily establish a cover of the thermostat and disconnect hoses from a radiator. 5. Submit through a hose a stream at its finest to the block of cylinders of the engine and wash out it before occurrence from the bottom hose conducting to a radiator, at its finest. 6. Establish the thermostat and connect hoses of system of cooling.

Filling of system of cooling

Before filling of system of cooling check up that all hoses inside in a good condition. Pay attention that the antifreeze mix should be used all year long for corrosion prevention.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Uncover a broad tank. 2. On l models 1,2 disconnect a hose of a heater from a head of the block of cylinders, and on models 1,3, 1,4 and later models 1,6 of l disconnect a wire and unscrew the gauge of temperature of a cooling liquid from an inlet collector. 3. On early models 1,6 of l both all models 1,8 and 2,0 l unscrew the screw of removal of air which is located in a thermostat casing. In the absence of the screw of removal of air unscrew the temperature gauge (it is specified by an arrow). 4. Fill cooling system, slowly filling in cooling liquid in a broad tank to exclude formation of air stoppers. 5. If replacement of a cooling liquid at first fill in 2 l at its finest in a broad tank was made, then fill in demanded quantity of a concentrate of antifreeze and other water. 6. If replacement of a cooling liquid at first fill in 2 l at its finest in a broad tank was made, then fill in demanded quantity of a concentrate of antifreeze and other water. 7. Finish level of a cooling liquid in a broad tank to label KALT and screw a cover of a broad tank. 8. Start the engine and warm up it to working temperature. 9. Stop the engine and cool it, then check up level of a cooling liquid. 10. Check up tightness of system of cooling.

ANTIFREEZE

Antifreeze represents a mix of the distilled water with a concentrate этиленгликоля. Antifreeze provides protection of system of cooling against corrosion and increases a boiling point of a cooling liquid. The quantity этиленгликоля in antifreeze depends on weather service conditions of the car and makes from 40 to 70 %.
