MODELS 1,3 AND 1,4 L WITH THE CARBURETTOR
On all models 1,3 of l the contactless system of ignition Delco is used. The ignition system includes the coil of ignition and the ignition distributor which drive is carried out from a camshaft end face.
The ignition distributor contains the inductive gauge established on a shaft, and the block of ignition fixed on the case. The system works as follows.
At ignition inclusion, but motionless cranked to an engine shaft, transistors in the management block are closed and do not pass a current through a primary winding of the coil of ignition.
At проворачивании a cranked shaft the inductive gauge moves in a magnetic field created by the block. At passage of the gauge about the block the small alternating voltage is created. The block uses this pressure to open transistors in the block and to submit pressure on a primary winding of the coil of ignition.
After passage of the gauge about the block the alternating voltage changes also transistors are closed, blocking pressure giving to a primary winding of the coil of ignition. The high voltage in a secondary winding of the coil of ignition which through the distributor and high-voltage wires moves on a corresponding spark plug is thus induced.
L MODELS 1,6 (16 SH) AND 1,8 L (18)
On these models the system of ignition Bosch with the Hall gauge, including the ignition coil, the distributor of ignition and the ignition block is established.
The electronic impulse necessary for deenergizing of pressure, submitted to a primary winding of the coil of ignition, is formed by the magnetic trigger in the ignition distributor. The trigger cogwheel rotates in a constant magnetic field. The magnetic field size between ledges статора and a cogwheel depends on an air backlash between poles. At the minimum air backlash when the cogwheel ledge is located directly ahead of a ledge статора, there is an impulse formation. Because the magnetic field between ledges статора and a cogwheel constantly changes, in the electromagnetic winding of the trigger established under a cogwheel, pressure is generated. This pressure amplifies the block and is used for switching-off of a primary winding of the coil of ignition. For each cylinder it is used on one ledge of the trigger and статора.
The corner of an advancing of ignition is set by the distributor of ignition and corrected centrifugal and vacuum by regulators.
The ignition block has an electric chain which disconnects pressure from a primary winding of the coil of ignition if time between two consecutive impulses exceeds 1,5 seconds. It protects the coil of ignition and electric chains in case ignition remains switched off on imprudence.
L MODELS 1,6 (16 SV)
Models till 1988
On models with 1987 for 1988 with engines 16 SV the electronic system of ignition MZV was established. In this system the corner of an advancing of ignition copes the microprocessor on the basis of the information on temperature, turns of the engine and loading. Updating of a corner of an advancing of ignition can be executed also shift заглушки OCTANESого numbers. The initial corner of an advancing of ignition is defined by position of the distributor of ignition. At a detachment заглушки OCTANESого number the block of management does not regulate a corner of an advancing of ignition.
Models since 1989
On models system E1 Plus which is updating of system of ignition МZV is established. Elements of systems of ignition are very similar, but instead of the inductive gauge the Hall gauge is established. The microprocessor has system of self-diagnostics for detection of malfunctions. The management block limits the maximum turns of the engine, disconnecting pressure giving to a primary winding of the coil of ignition at turns of the engine above 6 000 rpm.
L MODELS 1,8 (18 SE)
The system of ignition Е161 (EZ 61) is established on all engines of 1,8 l since 1987. Also as well as the system of ignition MZV and E1 Plus, this system uses the block of management of the microprocessor for calculation of a dynamic corner of an advancing of ignition on the basis of signals from the inductive gauge of impulses established from the forward party of the block of cylinders, and the segmented disk fixed on cranked shaft.
The ignition distributor serves only for high voltage distribution to spark plugs and does not render any influence on a corner of an advancing of ignition.
MODELS 1,4 AND 1,6 L WITH SYSTEM OF INJECTION OF FUEL
The control system of engine Multec CFi is described in subsection 188.8.131.52. The electronic control device (ECU) operates system of ignition and system of injection of fuel and as a matter of fact is a control system of the engine. For definition of a corner of an advancing of ignition block ECU receives the information from various gauges about position of a cranked shaft, temperature of a cooling liquid and absolute pressure in an inlet collector. Besides, block ECU receives the additional information about established OCTANESом number of fuel and the block of management of an automatic transmission. For a smooth gear change the corner of an advancing of ignition decreases at switching.
L MODELS 2,0
The control system of engine Motronic is described in subsection 184.108.40.206. The ignition system is similar to system of ignition Е1 61. Updating of a corner of an advancing of ignition can be made only shift заглушки OCTANESого numbers. In a control system of engine Motronic M2.5 block ECU receives the additional information from the gauge of a detonation established on the block of cylinders. At occurrence of a detonation block ECU reduces a corner of an advancing of ignition and prevents engine damage.
