In default at start-up engine cylinders can be overflowed by gasoline because of repetition of unsuccessful attempts of start-up.
On engines 4E-FE, 4A-FE, 7A-FE Turn the ignition key in position START and press a pedal throttle заслонки. Keep a key and a pedal no more than 15 сек then release. Then clean a foot from a pedal and repeat start.
On model engines 2E
Press a pedal throttle заслонки and keep 15–20 seconds Then try to start the engine, without cleaning a foot from a pedal. It is not supposed to press a pedal, it should be kept only at a floor.
If the engine is not started after 15 сек starter works switch off a starter, wait some minutes then repeat attempt.
In default start of engines of models 4E-FE, 4A-FE and 7A-FE repair or adjustment is required.
In default start-up of the engine of type 2E execute the procedure described above and test the following.

| 1. Turn out candles and dry electrodes. |
| 2. Turn the ignition key in position START and press a pedal throttle заслонки. Keep a key and a pedal no more than 15 сек then release. |
| 3. Wrap spark plugs. |
| 4. Having cleaned a foot from a pedal, try to start the engine. |
| 5. If the engine is not started, adjustment or repair is necessary. |
