The active suspension bracket, brake system and, at a corresponding complete set, system of hydrostrengthening of a wheel on cars considered in the present Management are united in uniform hydraulic system.

The liquid used as a working body from the special hydraulic tank established in an impellent compartment of the car, under a pressure moves in a pressure regulator. Pressure in system is forced by means of the hydraulic pump which drive is carried out from a pulley of a cranked shaft by means of a belt drive.

From a regulator of pressure the liquid moves a safety valve, connected to the valve of management of the hydrojack, and arrives further in blocks of proof-readers of height of a road gleam of forward and back suspension brackets of the car.

From assemblages of proof-readers the liquid arrives in cylinders of hydraulic blocks of a suspension bracket, whence under low pressure comes back back in the tank.

The height of a road gleam gets out the driver manually and is supported at the expense of continuous giving of a liquid in working cylinders of proof-readers of a suspension bracket or its tap from the given cylinders according to moving of forward and back stabilizers of cross-section stability to which the given cylinders are connected.

Transfer of hydraulic pressure to independent forward and back contours of brake system is carried out from the valve of management of the hydrojack. And in a forward contour the liquid is forced directly through the management valve whereas the back contour works contact to a hydraulic path of a back suspension bracket. At such scheme of distribution of hydraulic pressure the basic brake effort is put to forward wheels of the car whereas developed by brake mechanisms of back wheels the effort varies depending on degree of loading of the car - the more strongly the car is loaded, the above pressure in a hydraulic contour of a back suspension bracket and, accordingly, in a brake contour.

On the models equipped with system of hydrostrengthening of a wheel, between the pump of a high pressure and the regulator block the distributor of a hydraulic stream is placed. A distributor problem is pressure distribution between a contour of the hydraulic booster of a wheel and hydraulic paths of suspension brackets.

On models of early years of release pressure in a path of an active suspension bracket is dumped at engine deenergizing; the car thus falls to extreme bottom position. Later models are equipped запорным by the valve isolating a suspension bracket from the main hydraulic path.

Performance of any procedures of service of components of the hydraulic system which have been not included in structure of a material of the present Chapter (or Heads Brake system and the Running gear and a steering), should be entrusted to experts of a firm car repair shop of company Citroyon.

Safety measures

As a working body in hydraulic system of cars Citroyon Xantia the special mineral hydraulic liquid of type LHM having dark green colour is applied. Use of liquids of any other type is fraught with failure of rubber sealants used in system and hoses. Store a hydraulic liquid in tightly closed container.

In extreme situations use as a working body in hydraulic system of engine oil SAE 10 or SAE 20 is supposed, however in such cases on arrival to a repair/parking place the hydraulic path should be emptied and at the first possibility is filled by standard liquid LHM.

After removal from system of a liquid of a doubtful origin the hydraulic path should be washed out special structure which can be got in the firm services-centres of company Citroyon. Having pumped over system, leave its filled промывочным structure which should be used throughout approximately 1000 km (600 miles) run. Then it is necessary to empty and fill system with standard hydraulic liquid LHM again. In case of failure of rubber consolidations as a result of use of the non-standard liquid, all damaged components are subject to replacement. It is necessary to charge performance of the given work to experts of a car repair shop.

As replaceable components it is necessary to use only firm details of manufacture of company Citroyon which are usually painted in white or green colour and are intended for use in contact to liquid LHM.

One of key rules which should be observed at service of components of a hydraulic path, the most careful observance of cleanliness is. Carefully wipe components subject to a detachment and surfaces adjoining to them. All opened after removal of a component of connection at once cork in order to avoid hit in system of a dirt and extraneous subjects.

For rubbing of components use only gasoline.

Before performance of any works on service of components of hydraulic system pressure in a path should be dumped. After сбрасывания pressure in system it is necessary to disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
