Diagnostics of malfunctions of system of ignition

At occurrence of infringements always first of all it is necessary to make sure of functioning of systems of ignition/injection of fuel that a cause of a failure is not infringement of quality of electric contacts or neglect performance of procedures of routine maintenance. Check up a condition of a filtering element of an air cleaner, spark plugs (including measurement of an interelectrode backlash), hoses of system of ventilation картера, etc. (the Head Routine maintenance more in detail see). Also check up adjustment of a cable of gas (see the Head of the Power supply system and release). At infringement of stability of turns of the engine make measurement компрессионного pressure in cylinders and check up installation клапанных backlashes (the Repair procedures which are not demanding extraction of the engine from the car - petrol engines see).

If during the executed checks to reveal a cause of a failure it is not possible, the car should be driven away on a car repair shop. In an electric contour of a control system the engine includes a diagnostic socket to which the special input reader allowing in as much as possible short terms to establish the reason of taking place infringements is connected, without resorting thus to connected with risk of a conclusion out of operation ECU to testing of separately all knots and components of corresponding systems.

Unique checks of system of the ignition which performance lies within qualification of the average mechanic-fan, are described in the Head Routine maintenance and concerning survey of spark plugs, and also check of the coil of the ignition, described in the present Chapter.
