The general information

In connection with constant toughening of the international requirements on preservation of the environment manufacturers of cars are compelled to pay the increasing attention of ecological safety of production let out by them. Transition from carburettor systems of giving of fuel to electronic systems of the injection became solving step to the decision of this problem, allowing to exercise more thin administration of a gas mixture dosage at the continuous control of structure of products of combustion.

Continuously improved electronic control systems of modern engines carry out such functions, as configuration of structure of an air-fuel mix, management of the injection and ignition moments and the control of structure of the fulfilled gases. At the expense of continuous updating of the introduction data arriving from variety of information gauges, and (on structure of the fulfilled gases) the electronic block of management (ECM) carries out the organisations of a contour of a feedback the continuous control of functioning of the power unit and at the expense of entering of necessary updatings provides peak efficiency of return of the engine at an environmental contamination minimum level, without dependence from continuously changing service conditions of a vehicle. Inclusion in structure of a control system of a contour of self-diagnostics provides raised reliability of functioning of all its knots and components.

Considering told, it is possible to break conditionally an engine control system into some subsystems, namely: system of injection of the fuel, uniting in itself functions of configuration of an air-fuel mix, a dosage and its introduction in chambers of combustion of the engine, system of ignition and system of decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases.

The ignition system, together with start and charge systems, is considered in the Head the Electric equipment of the engine, devoted to an engine electric equipment.

Within the limits of the given Chapter design features and a principle of functioning of systems of injection and management of the engine/decrease of toxicity of the fulfilled gases are in detail considered, besides, the system of release of the fulfilled gases here is included.
