2.6. Engine oil level

THE GENERAL DATA

Engine oil level check before engine start, but not earlier than in 5 minutes after engine deenergizing.

Fill in in the engine only the engine oil ordered by manufacturer.
The prevention
If engine oil level constantly decreases and often it is necessary to add oil in the engine, check up, whether there are engine oil leaks. For this purpose at a car parking under the engine spread the big sheet of paper, and check up presence of oil stains on a paper that will allow to define leak and its place in the engine in the morning. If engine oil leaks are absent, means, the engine is worn out, and oil, getting to engine cylinders, burns down together with fuel.

Engine oil level should be between two labels on probeе for measurement of level of oil. At low level of oil engine greasing can be carried out with faults that will lead to serious breakages of the engine. If level of oil above norm, can fail a sealing ring of a cranked shaft.

Check of level of engine oil

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish the car on an equal horizontal platform.

2. The handle probeа for measurement of level of oil is painted in bright colour. Take probe for measurement of level of engine oil.

3. Using pure rags, wipe probe from the oil rests. Insert probe into the engine and repeatedly take it.

4. Define oil level in the engine which should be between labels MIN and MAX on probeе. The quantity of oil between labels MIN and MAX makes 1 l.

5. Uncover маслозаливной mouths and fill in demanded quantity of oil in the engine.
