The height of lifting of a plate depends on quantity of air submitted to cylinders of the engine: the more air stream, the above rises a plate. Thus the plate lever presses on плунжер the fuel distributor that leads to increase in quantity of the fuel submitted to cylinders. When air stream decreases, the plate falls, the plate lever in turn lowers плунжер and fuel giving decreases. At frequency of rotation of the engine no more than 1400 mines-1, temperature of a cooling liquid not above 30 With and throttle заслонке, being in idling position, the valve and air joins goes on перепускному to a hose, passing a measuring instrument of the expense of air. The plate falls, releasing плунжер, and fuel giving is disconnected until the valve will be closed. For the best смесообразования the plate should settle down precisely in the centre диффузора.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To weaken an inhaling of collars and to remove an air line (fig. Basic elements of system of injection of fuel see).
2. If the plate (1) is displaced, to weaken an inhaling of the screw (2). To centre a plate with the help probeа in the thickness of 0,1 mm, inserting it round a plate. To tighten the screw.
3. To lift and quickly to lower a plate. At movement downwards it should not be felt resistance. If resistance is felt, the measuring instrument of the expense of air means is faulty and demands replacement.
4. If resistance is felt at plate movement upwards, it is necessary to remove the fuel distributor, to take out and wash out in gasoline плунжер. If it does not help, to replace the fuel distributor.
5. To check up a plate arrangement on height in relation to диффузору. The backlash between an upper edge of a plate and edge of a cylindrical part диффузора (noted by arrows) should be: at engines with system K-Jetronic of 0-0,5 mm, at engines of models KZ of 1,75-2,05 mm, at engines with system K-Jetronic of a high pressure and KE-Jetronic (at these engines fuel is brought to atomizers on metal tubes) 1,9–3,0 mm. For adjustment of position of a plate on height at engines with system K-Jetronic and KZ to remove an air line (fig. Basic elements of system of injection of fuel see), to lift a plate and to unbend or compress the wire bracket located under it, as is shown in drawing at the left. At other engines to uncover the filter with a filtering element and to adjust position of a plate by nut turn on the persistent screw of a plate, as is shown in drawing on the right.
