Removal and installation of atomizers


The damaged atomizers can lead to strong blows at the engine work, reminding work of the engine with the damaged bearings. In the presence of the similar phenomena it is necessary to start the engine on single turns and by turns to weaken накидные nuts of pipelines of a high pressure. If at отворачивании any nut blows disappear, it specifies in presence of defect of a corresponding atomizer.

The defective atomizer can be revealed also отворачиванием накидных nuts at engine work on fast single turns. If at отворачивании any nut the number of turns of the engine does not change, it specifies in defect of a corresponding atomizer. The atomizer is checked by means of a manometre (work HUNDRED).

The damaged atomizers should be replaced, as their adjustment or repair are not possible.

First signs of malfunction of an atomizer the following:

– Defective ignition;
– Knocks in one or several cylinders;
– An engine overheat;
– Falling of capacity of the engine;
– Excessively black exhaust gases;
– The high expense of fuel;
– A dense dark blue smoke at cold start.


1. Clear high pressure pipelines a cold cleaner.
2. Remove in the complete set high pressure pipelines, for what ослабьте накидные nuts opened накидным a key, for example, HAZET 4560 or VW–3035.


Do not turn in high pressure pipelines. The pipeline remove necessarily in the complete set.

3. Turn away a bolt of fastening of an atomizer, remove a collar and take out an atomizer.


At difficulty with демонтажем atomizers it is possible to take advantage of a shock stripper, for example, VW–3364 or HAZET 1966. The auxiliary tool is necessary For installation of a shock stripper, which наворачивается on an atomizer.

The auxiliary tool can be made as follows. Cut off the old pipeline of a high pressure behind накидной nuts on distance nearby 5 see Fix the soldering on the cut off end nut М6.

The tool carefully clear. Dirt hit will lead an atomizer to failure!

4. Screw the auxiliary tool on an at a stop atomizer and establish on the soldered nut a shock stripper. Extend an atomizer.
5. Remove heat-shielding consolidation.
6. Necessarily establish new heat-shielding consolidations between a head of cylinders and an atomizer. Consolidation deepening should be turned upwards, the arrow on an illustration shows towards a head of cylinders.
7. Insert an atomizer into place.
8. Establish a collar of fastening of an atomizer, thus watch correct position of a support.
9. Insert a bolt with a spherical washer and fix the moment 20 Н m.
10. Fix pipelines of a high pressure the moment 25 Н m.
