Instead of РКПП car AUDI A3 can be equipped by 4-step automatic transmission (АТ). In process трогания from place АТ carries out function of ordinary coupling, and during movement performs work on a gear change.
The basic knots АТ are: the twisting moment converter, a planetary reducer and a hydraulic or electronic control system. To transition to another transfer the relation in a planetary reducer are applied гидроприводные disk brakes and disk coupling.
The twisting moment converter on the functions corresponds to hydraulic coupling. Its problem includes coupling realisation at трогании from a place and a gear change.
Management of pressing at switching carries out the electronic device instead of the hydraulics applied in usual РКПП. Thus, there is fuller information for better management of switching process that gives the chance to choose the optimum transfer relation depending on a mode of operation of the car and desire of the driver that, in turn, allows to raise quality of process of a gear change.
Manual programs “Economy” or “Sport” are not present. The Monitor distinguishes on speed from which the pedal is pressed, whether the driver wishes to go "is sports" or is economic"and according to it operates the switching moment. In management of switching process resistance to movement is considered also, for example, whether the car uphill or from mountain moves, whether there is a trailer and a head wind.
In the presence of malfunctions in chains of signals of gauges or electromagnetic valves switching on the emergency program of movement is made, simultaneously malfunctions register in memory of malfunctions. After them it is possible to consider from memory of the device.
For an assessment of works and for correct search of malfunctions are necessary a corresponding operational experience with АТ and qualification.
ATTENTION
Cars with АТ are authorised to be towed on distance to 50 km at speed no more than 50 km/hour. At towage on the conveyor the forward part of the car should be lifted.
