Check and adjustment of the beginning of injection ТНВД

THE GENERAL DATA

Firm Audi demands to inspect the injection beginning on the working engine by means of an electronic tester. As specified device available can not be, adjustment on the stopped engine by means of a special core here is described. The specified way is not exact and can be applied only as auxiliary means. For more exact check it is recommended to address on HUNDRED.

The beginning of injection ТНВД should be checked and be regulated necessarily after a tension, removal or replacement of a gear belt, and also easing of bolts of fastening ТНВД or belt cogwheels.

CHECK

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish a cranked shaft in position ВМТ of the piston of the first cylinder, address to subsection Installation of the piston of the first cylinder in ВМТ.
2. Fix a camshaft by means of an adjusting ruler, address to subsection Installation of the piston of the first cylinder in ВМТ.
	3. Now core VW–3359 should enter into an aperture of a nave of a cogwheel and holder ТНВД. Thus, position ТНВД is fixed. The core should enter so that the aperture (an arrow on an accompanying illustration) stood on distance about 3 mm before a pump nave.
ATTENTION Instead of core VW–3359 it is possible to take advantage of any core of 6 mm, for example, a drill.
4. If the core does not enter into aperture ТНВД in spite of the fact that marks ВМТ and camshaft position coincide, it is necessary to check up adjustment of the beginning of injection of fuel again.

	5. Loosen the bolts of fastening–1 cogwheels ТНВД so that the wheel of a gear belt could turn concerning a pump nave.
ATTENTION The central bolt of fastening on a pump nave it is not necessary to turn on, the pump otherwise will be displaced. After that to adjust it in house conditions it will not be possible.
	6. Turn nave ТНВД so that the core has entered.
ATTENTION The core should enter so that the aperture (an arrow on an illustration) stood on distance about 3 mm before a pump nave.

8. Take out a core.
9. Remove an adjusting ruler.
10. Turn a cranked shaft on 2 turns in a direction of rotation of the engine and again establish in position ВМТ of the piston of the first cylinder. Check up position of marks on a flywheel and distributive to a shaft.
11. Fix cogwheel ТНВД a core. If the core does not enter into aperture ТНВД, repeat adjustment process.
12. Take out a core.
13. Establish a lining of a cover of a head of cylinders. Fix a cover, the moment of an inhaling 10 Н m.
14. Establish the top cover of a gear belt.
15. Insert into an aperture of a casing of coupling a plastic stopper.
ATTENTION In summary check up in dynamics the beginning of injection ТНВД (work HUNDRED). After exact adjustment of the moment of the beginning of injection it is necessary to tighten 3 bolts of fastening of cogwheel ТНВД the moment 20 НН•м and then to tighten on 90 ° (1/4 turns). If bolts have been tightened in the specified way, after отворачивания it is necessary to replace them with the new.
