Removal and installation of automatic transmission

THE GENERAL DATA

ATTENTION

The description of operations and the instructions concerning simultaneously to РКПП and АТ, are resulted in subsection Removal and installation РКПП for turbodiesel engines (TDI).


In the present subsection the differences concerning to АТ are described only.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Suspend the engine for a head of cylinders, using for this purpose the crane.
2. Расстыкуйте штекерное connection at АТ, disconnect directing a cable.
1 gauge of the electromagnetic valve (10-contact)
2 gauge of speed of movement
3 switch multipurpose
4 gauge of number of turns of a transmission
3. Wring out a screw-driver draught of the switch of transfers (1) at the lever (4). Remove lock скобу (3) at a support. Remove draught of the switch of transfers at a box and take aside.

ATTENTION

Bolt (2) it is not necessary to turn on.


4. Turn away bolts of fastening and remove the holder of the submitting pipeline of the pump of the hydraulic booster.
5. Press hoses of cooler ATF, for example, tool VW-3094 or HAZET–4590. Loosen the collars also remove hoses.

ATTENTION

Collect the flowed out oil a rag.


6. Turn away bolts of fastening and remove a guard (arrows on an illustration).
7. Take out a stopper from an aperture of a cover of the converter of a twisting moment. Turn away 3 nuts and disconnect (an arrow on an accompanying illustration) the converter from a conducted disk of coupling. Turn the engine a head for a pulley of a cranked shaft to the right that nuts were in an aperture.

ATTENTION

The twisting moment converter is between the engine and a check point and is liquid муфтой.


8. Remove АТ by analogy with РКПП (Removal and installation РКПП).
ATTENTION

At removal АТ from the engine wring out the converter from a conducted disk. Protect the converter in АТ from loss for what establish at a casing of a box the device for a clip and clamp. If such device not to put, at box removal watch that the converter has not slipped out a box.


INSTALLATION
9. Before installation АТ measure distance between a flange of a box and a persistent surface below at a carving finger. It should make about 22 mm. If the specified distance is equal 10 mm, the converter is inserted incorrectly. In this case cautiously turn the converter so that it has slid off downwards.

ATTENTION

At wrong installation of the converter the conducted disk at box installation collapses.


10. The further installation is carried out in sequence, return to removal. In addition take into consideration the following.
11. To converter fastening apply only original nuts. The converter fastens to a conducted disk the moment 60 Н m.
12. Replace bolts of fastening of support of a box. Bolts fix the moments presented on an illustration.
13. Adjust draught of a gear change.
14. Check up level ATF in the main transfer and in a box.
