Check of a condition of a belt
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Remove a generator belt. |
| 2. Remove casings of a gear belt. The bolshy casing fastens 4 bolts, one of them fastens скоба топливопровода. The cover of pulley ТНВД fastens 3 bolts. On diesel engines since 1987 casings tightly close a belt, linings and скобы therefore are in addition provided. |
| 3. Turning a cranked shaft a key for a head of a bolt of fastening of a pulley (if necessary remove the right forward wheel) check up a belt condition on all length. Special attention give to places about the basis of teeths in which there can be cracks. At detection of pollution or signs of destruction a belt replace. Establish and eliminate the pollution reason. |

Check of a tension of a belt

1. The belt tension is checked by dynamometer КМ-510-А or the equivalent device. In the absence of this device (though its application insistently is recommended), the correct tension can be checked up approximately whenever possible перекручивания it approximately on 90 ° in the middle of a branch between pulleys which will defend from each other on the greatest distance. At an excessive tension the belt usually publishes a rumble on the working engine, the weakened belt, as a rule, quickly wears out. |
| 2. Turn a cranked shaft on 1/2 turns in a direction of normal rotation. Establish a dynamometer on more "прослабленную" a belt part from outside the generator, consider indications and compare them to the data resulted in subsection subsection 4.4. |
| 3. In need of adjustment ослабьте bolts of fastening of the water pump and, moving the pump, adjust a tension. Tighten bolts of fastening of the pump. |
| 4. Turn a cranked shaft on 1 turn and again check up a tension. If necessary again adjust a tension, having repeated procedure. |
| 5. Tighten bolts of fastening of the pump the demanded moment. |
| 6. After adjustment of a tension or belt replacement check up the moment of injection of fuel. |
| 7. Installation is made in sequence of return to removal. |
| 8. Establish a wheel and lower the car. |

| 1. The casing of a gear belt consists of two sections, at first it is necessary to remove top, then the bottom section. |
| 2. For access to casings, remove the air filter and the others приводные belts. |
|
3. Unscrew 5 bolts and remove the top casing. |
| 4. From outside a wheel niche unscrew 4 bolts of fastening of a pulley of a cranked shaft and remove a pulley from a pulley of a gear belt. |

5. Unscrew 3 bolts and remove the bottom casing (arrows two bolts of fastening of the bottom casing are shown). |
| 6. Turning a cranked shaft a key for a bolt head (if necessary remove the right forward wheel), check up a belt condition on all length. Special attention give to places about the basis of teeths in which there can be cracks. At detection of pollution or signs of destruction a belt replace. Establish and eliminate the pollution reason. |
