5.4. Removal, check and thermostat installation Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Merge cooling liquid from system of cooling and remove a wire of weight from the accumulator. L models 1,2 2. Disconnect the top hose of a radiator from the water pump, access to a lock ring of the thermostat thus will open. 3. Using an edge of a thin screw-driver, remove a lock ring of the thermostat. 4. Take the thermostat from a branch pipe of the water pump. 5. Unscrew five screws and remove a casing of a gear belt. 6. Loosen the a collar also remove the top hose of a radiator from a thermostat casing. 7. Unscrew two bolts and remove a thermostat casing. On later models for access to a thermostat casing it is necessary to remove a back casing of a gear belt. 8. Note an arrangement and remove the thermostat. Models 1,6, 1,8 and 2,0 l 9. Loosen the a collar also remove the top hose of a radiator from a thermostat casing. 10. Unscrew bolts and remove a thermostat casing. Remove the thermostat. On models 2,0 of l with 16th valves for thermostat removal on it it is necessary to press and turn it in this position.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Rough check of the thermostat can be spent, having suspended it on a thread in the glass vessel filled with water, and heating up water to boiling. At boiling of water the thermostat should open. Otherwise replace it. 2. The thermostat which is not closed at water cooling, also is subject to replacement.

Installation

Installation is made in sequence, return to removal, but thus it is necessary to use new rubber consolidations and to establish the thermostat so that the marksman on a crosspiece has been directed upwards. Fill in cooling liquid in cooling system. Other models 2. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal, but thus it is necessary to establish a new rubber lining on the thermostat. Fill in cooling liquid in cooling system.
