5.6. Check, removal and installation of the electric fan of a radiator Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Pressure to the electric fan of a radiator moves through the ignition lock, the relay and the fuse. The electric chain of the fan of a radiator copes a temperature-sensitive element which is established sideways a radiator. 2. Check up working capacity of a temperature-sensitive element of the fan of a radiator. The fan should join at excess of working temperature of the engine, that is some minutes prior to an input of an arrow of the index of temperature of the engine in red sector. If the fan does not join, remove wires from a temperature-sensitive element, connect them among themselves and include ignition. If the fan after that earns, possibly, the temperature-sensitive element which is subject to replacement has failed. 3. In a case if the fan still does not work, check up, whether pressure to a temperature-sensitive element moves. If pressure on a temperature-sensitive element is absent, probably, wires are damaged or has fused the fuse. If pressure moves to a temperature-sensitive element, check up reliability of its connection with weight of the car. 4. If the temperature-sensitive element and electroconducting in a good condition, that, probably, is damaged the engine of the fan of a radiator. For electric motor check disconnect from it an electric socket and, using additional wires, submit pressure directly on the engine. If thus the electric motor does not work, means, it is faulty also it it is necessary to replace.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a wire of weight from the accumulator. 2. Disconnect an electric socket from the electric motor of the fan of a radiator. Release clips of a plait of wires of the electric motor of the fan of a radiator and move a plait of wires aside. 3. Unscrew bolts of fastening from two parties in the top part of a casing of the fan of a radiator, then reject a fan casing to the engine, move it upwards and remove from a radiator. 4. Unscrew three nuts and remove the engine of the fan of a radiator from a casing. If necessary remove spring скобу and remove крыльчатку from a shaft of the engine of the fan of a radiator. 5. If the engine of the fan of a radiator is faulty, it is necessary to replace it as engine repair is not provided.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal. Thus check up, that the bottom part of a casing of the fan of a radiator was correctly established on a radiator. 2. In summary start the engine, warm up it to normal working temperature and check up that the radiator fan works.
