8.1.3. Adjustment of a backlash and the closed condition of contacts of the breaker

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Unscrew two screws and uncover the distributor of ignition and a distributor rotor. 2. Clear an internal surface of a cover of the distributor of ignition and check up its condition. 3. If the internal surface of contacts of a cover of the distributor of ignition has strongly scorched, replace a cover. 4. If on contacts there is an insignificant deposit, using a screw-driver, clear it. 5. Pressing the central coal contact in a cover, check up smoothness of its moving and выступание contact from a cover which 6 mm should be at least. 6. Using a screw-driver edge, unclench contacts of the breaker and check up their condition. 7. If contacts are worn out, it is necessary to replace them. 8. If breaker contacts are in a satisfactory condition or new contacts are come into, it is necessary to adjust a backlash between contacts to edge use probeа. 9. Mark and remove from spark plugs high-voltage wires, then unscrew spark plugs. 10. At the released manual brake and the included transfer move the car forward and observe of the ignition distributor while the lever of contacts of the breaker will not be on a ledge of one of four cams of a shaft of the distributor of ignition. 11. An edge probeа check up a backlash between breaker contacts. At check of a backlash an edge probeа and breaker contacts should be pure and dry. 12. If the backlash does not correspond to demanded values, ослабьте the screw, крепящий a plate of contacts and, moving a plate, establish a demanded backlash. The plate can be moved a screw-driver inserted between a label in a plate of the breaker and two adjacent ledges of a basic plate of the distributor of ignition. 13. After installation of a backlash of contacts of the breaker fix a plate the screw and repeatedly measure a backlash between contacts. 14. Establish a rotor of the distributor of ignition, a cover, spark plugs and high-voltage wires.

In the presence of a measuring instrument of duration of the closed condition of contacts of the breaker, the most exact method of installation of a backlash between breaker contacts is a measurement and installation of duration of the closed condition of contacts of the breaker.

The corner of the closed condition of contacts of the breaker is a corner on which the cam of the distributor of ignition while breaker contacts remain closed turns. Advantage of this method consists that any deterioration of a shaft of the distributor of ignition and a contour of cams is considered, and also measurement errors are excluded at use probeа.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. For check of duration of the closed condition of contacts of the breaker uncover the distributor of ignition and a rotor. 2. Connect probeы a measuring instrument to contact + (15) and to contact - (1) coils of ignition. 3. The assistant should include ignition and turn a cranked shaft of the engine a starter. 4. At this time on a measuring instrument read a corner of the closed condition of contacts. Fluctuation of an arrow of a measuring instrument testifies that the cranked shaft of the engine is turned insufficiently quickly. 5. In this case unscrew spark plugs and repeat check. 6. If a corner too small, a backlash between contacts too big, and on the contrary if the corner of the closed condition of contacts big, means, a backlash between contacts the small. 7. Adjust a backlash between breaker contacts. 8. After adjustment of a corner of the closed condition of contacts of the breaker disconnect a measuring instrument and establish a rotor of the distributor and a cover of the distributor of ignition. 9. Check up installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition.
