Check of the established generator


At normal movement the lamp of the control of a charge should go out. Otherwise, malfunction consists in the generator or a pressure regulator. First, check up electric connections of the generator. Check up, whether correctly will pull приводной a belt. The further check can be spent only on the removed generator, however preliminary it is necessary to check up all safety locks.

Check of a regulator of pressure

1. Include the voltmeter between positive and negative poles of the storage battery.
2. Start the engine. At start pressure can decrease to 8 In (at external temperature +20С).
3. Lift number of turns of the engine to 3000 rpm. Thus pressure should make from 13.5 to 14.5 V.Eto specifies that the generator and a regulator are efficient. Pressure of the generator (onboard pressure) should be above pressure of the storage battery that the battery in the course of movement was charged.
4. Check up stability of work of a regulator of pressure. For this purpose include a headlight and repeat measurements at 3 000 rpm. The measured pressure should not be more than 0.4 In earlier measured values.
5. If pressure does not correspond to demanded sizes, the worn out brushes of the generator, weak springs of brushes, a faulty regulator of pressure, the faulty diode, winding breakage статора or defective contact rings of a rotor can be a cause of defect.
