Check and replacement of brushes of the generator and pressure regulator

THE GENERAL DATA

Removal of brushes probably without generator removal, however, for this purpose is necessary to remove the top part of the inlet pipeline.

REMOVAL

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative cable (–) the storage battery at the switched off ignition. ATTENTION Thereof the information from electronic blocks of memory, as, for example, a radio receiver code is erased. Without a code the radio receiver can be included only the manufacturer or HUNDRED AUDI. Therefore familiarise with materials of subsection Input of a code of a radio receiver.
2. Remove клиновой a belt, thus address to subsection Removal and installation клинового a belt.
3. Remove the generator.
4. Generator VALEO: Disconnect a protective cover of the generator.
5. Disconnect a regulator of pressure from an underside of the generator and cautiously take out it.
	6. Replace brushes if their length makes 5 mm or less. For this purpose отпаяйте a wire.
7. Check up on deterioration contact rings, if necessary pierce them and grind.
8. Clear contact surfaces and check up a tension of contact springs, if necessary replace.
INSTALLATION
	9. Insert brushes () and springs () in щеткодержатель () and solder ropes.
10. That at a ration of new brushes to exclude solder hit on ropes, keep ropes of brushes flat-nose pliers. ATTENTION As a result of hit of solder the rope becomes unduly rigid, and a brush disabled.
11. The isolating hose over a rope should be clamped near to a soldering place together with an available ear.
12. Check up after installation new brushes on ease of moving in щеткодержателях.
13. Fix manually a pressure regulator one bolt, then cautiously press it into final position and fix.
14. Fix a protective cover of the generator.
15. Establish the generator into place.
16. Establish клиновой a belt, thus address to subsection Removal and installation ridge клинового a belt.
17. Attach a negative cable (–) to the storage battery. ATTENTION Make active automatics of safety electric Glass lifts, and also establish time and enter a radio receiver code, thus address to subsection Removal and installation of the storage battery and to subsection Input of a code of a radio receiver.
