Removal and installation of the storage battery

The negative wire always should be disconnected from the battery first of all, and be connected in last!


If the car is completed by an audiosystem of firm complete set Citroёn before to disconnect the battery, make sure that have a code necessary for switching-off блокиратора of security system.

Removal

The battery is located in the left part of an impellent compartment.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Release coupling bolts and remove клеммный a clip from a negative pole of the battery.
2. Lift a protective cover (if that is provided) and disconnect from the battery a positive wire.

3. Turn out a bolt, take aside a clamping plate.

4. Remove the battery from the pallet and take it from an impellent compartment. Turn out fixing bolts, release clamps of fastening of electroconducting and remove the battery pallet.
5. In case of need give fixing bolts and remove an assembly plate from the top part of the left support of the power unit.

Installation

Installation is made upside-down. At connection of wires to battery poles grease клеммные knots бескислотным with vaseline for the purpose of prevention of development of corrosion.



Always connect a negative wire in last turn!
