Replacement of the fuel filter

THROUGH EACH 30 000 KM (18 000 MILES) RUN

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. The fuel filter is concluded in a plastic casing and located in a forward part of the power unit (Components of the fuel filter see an illustration).

2. At a corresponding complete set cover a dome of coupling with a polyethylene film for the purpose of protection of internal components against contact to following fuel.
3. Get capacity approaching on volume under a drain hose of the fuel filter. Turn out the drain gate in a forward part of a casing of the filter and completely let out fuel.

4. Strongly tighten the drain gate, then give four fixing screws and remove from a filter casing the top cover.

5. Take filtering element from a casing. Track, that the rubber sealing ring has acted in film together with a filtering element, instead of remains stuck to a casing/cover end face.

6. Carefully wipe internal surfaces of a casing, completely having cleared them of traces of a dirt and extraneous particles. Establish a replaceable filtering element. Track presence on the regular place of a sealing ring.
7. Grease a carving part of screws of fastening of a cover with fixing hermetic. Establish a cover on a casing, screw and strongly tighten screws.
8. Fill the power supply system with fuel (the Power supply system - diesel models see).
9. Open the drain gate and wait while the stream of pure transparent fuel will not start to follow from a hose. Tighten the gate and take drain capacity.
