The general information

Into number of components of the power supply system enter: established in a back part of the car a fuel tank, the fuel filter with built in влагоотделителем, the fuel pump of a high pressure (ТНВД), atomizers of injection of fuel and accompanying elements. Before to pass through the filter, fuel is warmed up at the expense of run of a cooling liquid of the engine through the basis of a casing of the thermostat/assemblage of the filter (thermostat Assemblage / the fuel filter see an illustration). Intensity of heating is defined by an ambient temperature. If the air temperature makes less 15С, the thermostatic element rises from position "and", fuel arrives through the union "with", passes through an aperture “d”, is warmed up, passing through channels “е” and “b” and is brought to the filter. At temperature of air from 15С to 35С the thermostat valve opens only partially, thus only the fuel part passes directly from "with" to “b”. The additional complete set of some models includes the turbo-supercharging system which compressor is equipped by the built in cooler (Intercoоler).

Giving of fuel from a fuel tank in ТНВД is carried out by means of built in in ТНВД лопастного the submitting pump. Before всасыванием in the pump fuel passes through the filter where there is its clearing of extraneous inclusions and moisture particles. Surplus of fuel goes on greasing of moving components of the pump, and then comes back back in a tank.

ТНВД rotates with the frequency equal to half of frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft, and it is put in action from газораспределительного a belt. Management of a dosage of submitted fuel is made by the centrifugal regulator reacting to position of a pedal of gas and turns of the engine. The regulator is connected to the dosing out valve which makes updating of quantity of injected fuel on each step of the piston of the pump. On models with a turbo-supercharging the additional device makes increase in giving of fuel at increase of pressure of pressurisation.

Base installation of phases timing is made at pump installation. In an operating time of the engine the rotation mechanism кулачковой plates/rings automatically corrects parametres for the purpose of achievement of peak efficiency of return of the unit.

Four atomizers carry out injection of homogeneous streams of fuel in located in a head of cylinders vortical chambers. Atomizers are calibrated so that to open and be closed at certain critical pressure that guarantees peak efficiency and uniformity of combustion of a mix. Operating needles of atomizers are greased with the arriving fuel collecting in spring chambers and then arriving in returnable hose ТНВД on by-pass tubes.

Depending on engine type on cars systems of injection of manufacture of firms Bosch or Lucas can be established. System components can be marked inscriptions “CAV”, “Roto-Diesel” or “Con-Diesel”, depending on a date of issue and a territorial arrangement of manufacturer. Except for the fuel filter, all replaceable components should have the same marks, as removed from the car.

Efficiency of cold start raises at the expense of preliminary heating, or by means of the candles established in vortical chambers накаливания. The thermosensitive gauge of system of cooling operates the lever of turns of fast idling on ТНВД, providing increase of frequency of rotation of the engine idling at start of the cold engine. On models with a turbo-supercharging updating of an advancing of the moment of injection is carried out by means of the special, filled capsule cooling by a liquid.

Запорный the electromagnetic valve (the valve of a stopping delivery of fuel) cuts off fuel giving to rotor ТНВД at ignition deenergizing. Besides запорного the valve, ТНВД it is equipped also by the lever manual останова the engine intended for use in emergencies.

The turbo-supercharging system allows to raise efficiency of return of the engine at the expense of pressure forcing in the inlet pipeline above the atmospheric. Now air instead of simply being soaked up in cylinders, will force the way in them under a pressure. The increase in giving of fuel is carried out ТНВД to proportionally increase in quantity of arriving air.

Functioning турбокомпрессора is carried out at the expense of energy of the fulfilled gases. Gases pass a casing (a turbine casing) through the special form, putting in action a turbine wheel. The wheel is fixed on a shaft on which other end the second is located лопаточное a wheel named a wheel of the compressor. The compressor wheel rotates in own casing and carries out compression of the soaked up air submitted then in the inlet pipeline.
On the way from турбокомпрессора to the inlet pipeline air passes through the special built in cooler (Intercoоler), the representing heat exchanger functioning under the scheme "air-air" and established near to a radiator of system of cooling of the engine. Cold air is delivered to the heat exchanger of the built in cooler created at the expense of car movement by a counter running stream. A cooler problem is selection of surpluses of heat formed at сжимании of air in турбокомпрессоре. Thus efficiency of return of the engine in addition increases in view of increase of density of cooled air.

Restriction of size of pressure of pressurisation (pressure in the inlet pipeline) is limited at the expense of functioning special waste заслонки, making tap of the fulfilled gases from a turbine wheel at operation of an actuation mechanism sensitive to pressure. The gauge-switch sensitive to pressure makes inclusion of a control lamp on the panel of devices of the car in case of excess by pressure of pressurisation of the maximum admissible level.

Greasing of a shaft of the turbine is carried out submitted under a pressure on a special tube impellent oil. The greasing system is arranged in such a manner that the shaft appears is hung out on an oil pillow. Further oil on a returnable tube goes back to the pallet картера the engine. On some models additional security measures against a turbine overheat, at the expense of its connection with a path of system of cooling of the engine are accepted.

Under condition of regular performance of procedures of routine maintenance of the car, the power supply system equipment should serve long enough time smoothly. Service life actually ТНВД in normal conditions exceeds engine service life. The main reason of an exit of the pump and injection atomizers out of operation usually is hit in dirt and moisture fuel.

The spectrum of procedures of service ТНВД and the atomizers lying within qualification of the average mechanic-fan, is extremely limited. Performance of any works connected with necessity of dismantling and adjustment of components, and not listed more low in the given Chapter, should be entrusted to experts of the firm service-centre of company Citroyon, or mechanics of a specialised car repair shop.

Safety measures

At work with power supply system components it is necessary to observe special safety measures. In a special measure the told concerns atomizers of injection of fuel.

Do not start the engine at the disconnected air lines or the taken filtering element of an air cleaner. Hit in the engine of extraneous particles is capable to lead to serious internal damages турбокомпрессора.

In order to avoid damages of components of system of a turbo-supercharging, do not begin movement right after engine start, especially in cold weather. Wait definitive stabilisation of turns of idling, having given to oil within several seconds проциркулировать through bearings турбокомпрессора. Suppress the engine only after its turns will be dumped to single, - подгазовка at the moment of ignition deenergizing will force a turbine wheel to rotate during some time without greasing.

Observe the schedule of routine maintenance of the car, during time make replacement of impellent oil and the oil filter. A delay with change of oil or use of a substandard product can lead to formation of coal adjournment on a shaft of the turbine and a premature exit турбокомпрессора out of operation.
