Belt of drive ГРМ - the general information, removal, check of a condition and installation

The general information

The means газораспределительного a belt carry out a camshaft drive, ТНВД and the water pump. Rotation is transferred through cogwheels from the forward end of a cranked shaft. Remember that breakage or проскальзывание газораспределительного a belt at the working engine leads to serious damages of a head of cylinders as a result of blow of plates of valves about the bottoms of pistons.

Replacement газораспределительного a belt should be made strictly according to the schedule of routine maintenance of the car (address to the Head Routine maintenance). Extraordinary replacement of a belt should be made in case of pollution by its oil, and also at occurrence of the scraping sounds testifying to non-uniform deterioration of a tape or teeths.

Simultaneously with belt change it is necessary to check up the water pump on presence of signs of leaks.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Achieve combination of apertures for blocking cranked/distributive shaft and ТНВД, pass in apertures metal cores of the corresponding diameter (Fixing cranked / distributive shaft and ТНВД for the purpose of prevention of casual hit of valves in contact to pistons in the course of performance of procedures of service of the car see). At all do not suppose attempts проворачивания the engine after introduction of blocking cores.
2. Remove covers газораспределительного a belt (Removal and installation of covers газораспределительного a belt see).
3. Remove a spherical receiver from the main hydraulic accumulator (the Uniform hydraulic system see the Head) and отболтите the bottom cover of transmission. Ask the assistant to block a gear wheel of a starter a screw-driver with a wide sting, then turn out a bolt of a pulley of a cranked shaft. Remove a pulley.
4. Remove a metal plate and an arm of the right support of the power unit (Removal and installation of components of the right support of the power unit and натяжителя газораспределительного a belt see), then ослабьте an axial nut and an adjusting bolt натяжителя газораспределительного a belt. For belt easing develop an arm натяжителя counter-clockwise. Again tighten an adjusting bolt, having fixed натяжитель in the given position. In case of need pass a 10-millimetric drive of a face key in the aperture of square section provided in an arm for the purpose of simplification of overcoming of resistance of a spring (Removal of a belt of drive ГРМ see an illustration).

5. Mark with an arrow an initial direction of rotation of a belt and remove last from the engine.



Condition check

Attentively examine a belt on presence of stratifications, signs of non-uniform deterioration and traces of pollution by oil. It is necessary to give special attention to a condition of roots of teeths. The defective belt is subject to replacement. If the engine requires major repairs carrying out, or to its test with the given belt makes more than 60 000 km (36 000 miles), the belt also is subject to replacement without dependence from its condition. Remember that cost of a new belt is incommensurably small in comparison with expenses for repair of the engine in case of its exit out of operation as a result of breakage of a belt during movement. In case of revealing of traces замасливания without fail find out a source of leak and eliminate its reason. Carefully wipe a surface of the engine and accompanying components around belt installation, completely having removed about a bottom oil traces. Check up freedom of rotation of a roller натяжителя, in case of need make its replacement (see Removal and installation of components of the right support of the power unit and натяжителя газораспределительного a belt and Removal and installation of an intermediate roller газораспределительного a belt).

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Make sure of presence on the place of 8-millimetric bolts blocking cogwheels of a camshaft and ТНВД, and also a core blocking a flywheel (Fixing cranked / distributive shaft and ТНВД for the purpose of prevention of casual hit of valves in contact to pistons in the course of performance of procedures of service of the car see).
2. Put on газораспределительный a belt a cogwheel of a cranked shaft, having tracked observance of an initial direction of its rotation.
3. Fix a belt on a wheel of a cranked shaft and accurately put on it the remained gear wheels/rollers in a following order (Removal of a belt of drive ГРМ see an illustration):
   a) the Intermediate roller;
   b) Cogwheel ТНВД;
   c) a camshaft Cogwheel;
   d) the Roller натяжителя;
   e) the Cogwheel of the water pump.

4. Try not to overwind and not to bend excessively at installation a belt. For a guarantee of correctness of landing of a belt plant it at first on half of width of cogwheel ТНВД, then get on a camshaft wheel, watching correctness of gearing of teeths on a wheel of a cranked shaft and without weakening a tape tightness. Having achieved desirable result, definitively plant a belt on all wheels.

5. Turn out fixing a camshaft and ТНВД bolts, take a core of blocking of a flywheel (Fixing cranked / distributive shaft and ТНВД for the purpose of prevention of casual hit of valves in contact to pistons in the course of performance of procedures of service of the car see).
6. At the released axial nut, manually keeping an arm натяжителя, ослабьте an adjusting bolt. Slowly release an arm so that the roller has nestled on an internal surface of a tape of a belt. Tighten an adjusting bolt and an axial nut.
7. Turn a cranked shaft on two complete revolutions in a normal direction (clockwise). Проворачивание a shaft it is in the opposite direction inadmissible, as the belt should remain tense on sites between cogwheels of a cranked shaft, ТНВД and a camshaft.
8. Loosen the adjusting and an axial nut a bolt натяжителя, having allowed a spring to press densely a roller to a belt tape, then tighten a bolt and a nut with demanded effort.
9. Make sure of correctness of combination of blocking apertures by продевания in them of cores of the corresponding diameter (Fixing cranked / distributive shaft and ТНВД for the purpose of prevention of casual hit of valves in contact to pistons in the course of performance of procedures of service of the car see). If to enter cores it is not possible, hence the belt is established incorrectly and all procedure is necessary for repeating.
10. The further assemblage is made in an order, the return to an order of dismantle of components.
