Order of dismantling of the engine by its preparation for major repairs carrying out

Most easier to make dismantling and service of the engine after its installation on the portable assembly stand. Such stands always can be rented in a car-care centre workshop. Before engine installation on the stand it is necessary to remove from it a flywheel/privodnoj a disk that fixing bolts could be screwed in a face surface of the block of cylinders.

In the absence of possibility of use of the assembly stand it is necessary to take care of arrangement of a strong metalwork workbench. As a last resort, dismantling and engine repair can be made on a garage floor. Prepare also pair of strong wooden blocks for installation on them of the engine. In case of performance of works without stand use try not to strike on the engine and not to drop it.

If you managed to get the restored engine, it is necessary to rearrange on it with old all hinged units and components. Into number of such components enter:
   a) Bearing arms of the generator;
   b) Arms of the hydraulic pump and compressor K/V (at a corresponding complete set);
   c) the Thermostat in a casing with the final chamber/knee - petrol models (see the Head of System of cooling, heating);
   d) Assemblage of the fuel filter/casing of the thermostat - diesel models;
   e) Directing tube measuring probeа;
   f) power supply system Components (see the Head of the Power supply system and release);
   g) All electric gauges and switches;
   h) the Inlet pipeline and a final collector (see the Head of the Power supply system and release);
   i) the Oil filter (address to the Head Routine maintenance);
   j) the Flywheel/privodnoj a disk.

At dismantle from the engine of hinged units and components pay attention to characteristic details of their installation which can be useful as reference points at assemblage. Try to remember an order of installation of linings, epiploons, remote rings and plugs, pins, washers, bolts and so forth

If there is a possibility of acquisition of the reduced complete set of the engine consisting of the block of cylinders, a cranked shaft and rods with pistons (all in gathering), it is necessary to remove from the old unit also a head of cylinders, the pallet картера, the oil pump and газораспределительный a belt.

By preparation for performance of full major repairs engine dismantling is recommended to be made in a following order (the corresponding section of the present Chapter if in brackets other addressing is not resulted see):
   a) the Inlet pipeline and a final collector (see the Head of the Power supply system and release);
   b) the Belt of drive ГРМ with cogwheels and натяжителем (ями);
   c) the Head of cylinders;
   d) the Flywheel/privodnoj a disk;
   e) the Pallet картера;
   f) the Oil pump;
   g) Shatunno-piston assemblages (Removal of shatunno-piston assemblages see);
   h) the Cranked shaft (Removal of a cranked shaft see).
