Removal, check of serviceability of functioning and thermostat installation

At thermostat installation the new sealing ring is required.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. Empty cooling system (address to the Head Routine maintenance).
3. Where it is required liberate from clamps hoses and plaits of electroconducting and shift them aside, having provided an unimpeded access to a thermostat casing. On some models it makes sense to remove also an air cleaner sleeve (see the Head of the Power supply system and release).

4. Turn out fixing bolts and accurately uncover a thermostat casing. Try not to stretch the hoses of system of cooling connected to a cover.

5. Take the thermostat from a casing. Do not forget to remove also a sealing ring ().

Check of serviceability of functioning

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Rough check of serviceability of functioning of the thermostat can be made a way подвязывания it to a wire and lowerings in capacity with water. In process of heating, at boiling of water the thermostat should open, otherwise it is necessary to make its replacement.
2. If available there is a suitable thermometer, it is possible to define exact temperature of opening of the thermostat. Compare result of check to the marks data on the assemblage case.
3. The thermostat which is not closed at cooling of water, also is subject to replacement.

Installation

Installation is made upside-down. Pay attention to following moments:
   a) Check up a condition of sealing rings, defective replace;
   b) Track correctness of placing of the thermostat in a casing (it should be established by a spring (ами) inside);
   c) do not forget to make refuelling of system of cooling (address to the Head Routine maintenance).
