As an additional complete set on petrol models 1.8 and 2.0 l, and also on diesel models without a turbo-supercharging automatic transmission (АТ), consisting of the converter of rotation, planetary assemblage, гидроdrivers муфт coupling and brake tapes (External components of the block of automatic transmission see an illustration) can be established 4-step completely.

The rotation converter provides liquid transfer of a twisting moment from the engine to transmission. As a matter of fact, the converter plays a role of automatic coupling, at the same time providing twisting moment strengthening at an acceleration.

Planetary assemblage provides four various transfer relations at car movement forward and possibility of inclusion of a backspacing. The size of the transfer relation is defined by what components of planetary assemblage in a present situation are blocked, and what rotate. Blocking and отпускание components of planetary assemblage is carried out with the help муфт coupling and the brake tapes activated by the hydraulic block of management. A part АТ the liquid pump provides necessary for operation муфт coupling and brake tapes hydraulic pressure.

The driver operates functioning of transmission by means of the 7-item lever of the selector. Lever transfer in position “D” provides possibility of movement of the car with transmission switching in a full range of transfer relations of four forward transfers. Function of machine translation of transmission on a hill-climbing gear is in addition provided at full squeezing of a pedal of an accelerator (kick-down). Except “D” it is provided three more positions, providing car progress in the limited range of transfer relations of forward transfers. So, in position “1” possibility of movement of the car not above than on 1st transfer is provided; in position “2” transmission can be switched in a range before 2nd transfer, and in position “3”, accordingly, - to 3rd. Modes of the limited ranges are intended for use at car movement in the difficult road conditions connected with necessity of braking by the engine (for example, movement under a bias or on a streamer).

At all do not make transmission switching in a mode of restriction of transfer relations at high turns of the engine (from above 4000 in a minute)!
