Removal, service and installation of forward racks



1. Tyre out the car on the lift.
2. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
3. Lift the car and remove forward wheels.
4. Turn out a fastening bolt to a rack of a basic arm of a flexible brake hose.
5. Mark position of a head of a bolt of adjustment of disorder of wheels which the rack fastens to assemblage of a rotary fist.
6. Turn out a fastening bolt to a rack of a basic arm of electroconducting of wheel gauge ABS.

7. Give fixing nuts and take two bolts of fastening of a rack to a rotary fist.

 Самоконтрящиеся nuts at release is subject to replacement without fail!

8. Release three fixing nuts of the top support and take rack-mount assemblage from under the car through a wheel arch.



1. By means of the special adaptation clamped in a vice compress a screw spring of rack-mount assemblage, then by means of special face head ST 927760000 release самоконтрящуюся a nut of fastening of a rod of the shock-absorber in assemblage of the top support of a rack.

2. Slowly release compressing adaptation and remove a screw spring.
3. Remove duster and демпферную a spring.

Check of a condition of components

Attentively examine components of rack-mount assemblage on presence of signs of excessive deterioration and mechanical damages, make sure of absence of cracks and cuts of rubber components. The failed elements replace.

The telescopic shock-absorber


 At service газонаполненных shock-absorbers without fail put on goggles!

1. Examine taken of a glass of rack-mount assemblage the shock-absorber on presence of signs of development of leaks.
2. Manually check up completeness and smoothness of a course of a piston rod.

3. Reliably fix the case of the shock-absorber laid horizontally, press плунжер циферблатного a measuring instrument to a rod surface on removal L = 10 mm from a cut of a smooth part, then wring out a rod downwards with effort W = 2 кГс, enclosed to the end of a carving part and null a measuring instrument. Further, with the same effort (2 кГс) pull the rod end upwards and consider the measuring instrument indication. If the result of measurement exceeds limiting admissible value (0.8 mm), replace the shock-absorber.

4. Recycling of the failed shock-absorbers should be made with observance of special safety measures. At all do not undertake attempts of dismantling of the shock-absorber, before recycling drill the shock-absorber case.

The top support of a rack

Attentively study a condition of rubber components of assemblage of the top support, in case of revealing of signs of ageing of a material, cracks, cuts and other damages replace the failed elements.


Пыльник is subject to replacement in case of revealing of signs of ageing of rubber, cracks, cuts and other damages.

Screw spring

Examine a screw spring on presence of cracks, having chopped off and other defects. The given and extended screw springs are subject to replacement also, - if in regular intervals loaded car has non-uniform landing (make sure that wheels are not lowered), it is necessary to measure free length of screw springs, to compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications and in case of need to replace the failed springs.


The condition демпфера is checked the same as also a condition of all other rubber components of a rack (see above).

1. Before to start rack assemblage поверье the generation mechanism демпфирующего efforts to presence of signs of hit in it of air (see further).
2. Establish the shock-absorber vertically piston rod upwards and wring out last down to an emphasis.
3. Having grasped the end of a rod fingers, move it upwards-downwards. If the size of a course of a rod exceeds 10 mm, it is necessary to make removal of air which has got to the shock-absorber (see further).
4. Extend a piston rod against the stop upwards, then wring out it down to the course end, - repeat the given procedure 3-4 times.

 After end of procedure of removal of air stoppers the rack should not be lowered in horizontal position, otherwise a purge it is necessary to repeat!

5. Having prepared the shock-absorber for installation, compress the special adaptation a screw spring. Also plant it on a rack coils with the truncated step upwards.

6. In the correct image place the bottom end face of a spring in the bottom plate of rack-mount assemblage, - the coil end should get to special deepening in a saddle.

7. Plant on a rod of the piston of the shock-absorber rubber демпфер and duster.

8. Against the stop extend a rod and put on it the top plate of a spring with the rubber saddle enclosed in it, - track correctness of landing of a plate.

9. Plant on a rod the top support and temporarily tighten NEW самоконтрящуюся a nut.
10. Keeping a rod of the piston from проворачивания рожковым a key, by means of special head ST 927760000 tighten самоконтрящуюся a nut with demanded effort (55 Nanometers).



1. Fill a rack on the regular place in a wheel arch.
2. Establish the top support and tighten nuts of its fastening with demanded effort (20 Nanometers).
3. Achieve combination of the landing labels of a bolt of adjustment of disorder of wheels put in the course of dismantle and, keeping its head motionless, tighten with demanded effort (175 Nanometers) NEW самоконтрящуюся a fixing nut.
4. Fix on the bottom support of a rack burn down electroconductings of wheel gauge ABS and a flexible brake hose, - tighten bolts of fastening of basic arms with demanded effort (32 Nanometers).
5. Establish to the place of a wheel and lower the car on the earth.
6. In summary drive away the car on a car repair shop for check and adjustment of corners of installation of forward wheels.
