3.1.3.1.6. Adjustment of turns of idling and quality of a mix

THE GENERAL DATA

Before check of turns of idling and quality of a mix execute following checks:

 – Check up a corner of an advancing of ignition (subsection 8.1.7.1, subsection 8.1.7.2 and subsection 8.2.4 see);
 – Check up a condition and an interelectrode backlash of spark plugs;
 – Check up that an accelerator cable, and on models with the carburettor – and a cable of management air заслонкой are correctly adjusted;
 – Check up that ventilation hoses картера are not hammered and not pressed;
 – Check up that a filtering element of the air filter the pure;
 – Check up that the exhaust system is in a good condition;
 – If the engine works very roughly and unstably, check up a compression in engine cylinders.

Make a control trip for warming up of the engine to normal working temperature.

The prevention

Adjustment is necessary for making within 2 minutes after a stop of the car after a trip. If in the course of adjustment the radiator fan has joined, the further adjustment make after its deenergizing. For removal of surplus of fuel from an inlet collector 2 or 3 times increase turns of the engine to 2000–3000 rpm and translate the engine in a mode of turns of idling.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Connect a tachometre according to the maintenance instruction. 2. If necessary establish demanded turns of idling, rotating the adjusting screw (the Arrangement of the screw of adjustment of turns of idling fig. see the carburettor 32 ТL, fig. the Arrangement of the screw of adjustment of turns of idling on the carburettor 2Е3, fig. the Arrangement of the screw of adjustment of turns of idling on carburettor Varajet, fig. the Arrangement of the screw of adjustment of turns of idling on the carburettor 1В1, fig. of the Point of adjustment of turns of idling on the carburettor 35 РDSI). 3. In the presence of a gas analyzer check up the maintenance WITH in exhaust gases. 4. At presence remove заглушку from the screw of adjustment of quality of a mix. 5. Warm up the engine to normal working temperature and check up the maintenance WITH in exhaust gases. If necessary, rotating the adjusting screw, establish the demanded maintenance WITH in exhaust gases (the Arrangement of the screw of adjustment of quality of a mix fig. see the carburettor 32 ТL, fig. the Arrangement заглушки the screw of adjustment of quality of a mix on the carburettor 2Е3, fig. After adjustment carrying out establish new заглушку on the screw and disconnect a tachometre.

MODELS WITH SYSTEM OF INJECTION OF FUEL

PERFORMANCE ORDER

L models 1,8 1. To the engine, heated-up to normal working temperature, connect a tachometre according to the maintenance instruction. 2. Start the engine in a mode of idling and check up idling turns. If necessary ослабьте a counternut and, rotating the adjusting screw, establish demanded turns of idling. The adjusting screw is located on a casing throttle заслонки. In summary tighten a counternut. 3. In the presence of a gas analyzer check up the maintenance WITH in exhaust gases. 4. Start the engine in a mode of idling and check up the maintenance WITH. 5. For adjustment carrying out remove заглушку from the adjusting screw located on a measuring instrument of a stream of air (it is specified by an arrow). For enrichment of a fuel mix rotate the screw clockwise, and for pauperisation – counter-clockwise. 6. In end, if necessary, modify idling turns. If the maintenance WITH is not regulated, means, there is a damage to system of injection of fuel or the engine is worn out. L models 2,0 7. On all models idling turns are regulated by the electronic control device, manual adjustment is not provided. If idling turns do not correspond demanded, means, there is a damage to system of ignition / of injection of fuel. 8. On models without the catalyst the maintenance WITH can be adjusted in the same way, as well as for l models 1,8. On models with 16th valves the adjusting screw is located on a measuring instrument of a stream of air. 9. On models with the catalyst the maintenance WITH is automatically regulated by the electronic control device, manual adjustment is not provided. If the maintenance WITH differs from demanded, means, in system of ignition / of injection of fuel there is a malfunction. Models 1,4 and 1,6 l 10. On models 1,4 and 1,6 l turns of idling and the maintenance WITH are automatically regulated by the management block, manual adjustment is not provided. If turns of idling and the maintenance WITH do not correspond to demanded values, means, there is a damage to system of ignition / of injection of fuel.
